About the job

Under Armour is all about performance. Because what we make empowers athletes in every form to push themselves, to turn good into great, and to stay hungry for whatever comes next. And this is exactly what we expect from each other.
Working with us means one key thing: no matter what you do, you see every day and every project as a chance to push your field forward. In every store and every office, we build teams where everyone is an MVP. And together we tackle every challenge head on. Because we work to push the gear, the game, and ourselves farther.
We’re looking for people who do more than good work.
We’re looking for the Best in Every Game.
Under Armour is the chosen brand of this generation of athletes... and the athletes of tomorrow. We're about performance - in training and on game day, in blistering heat and bitter cold. Whatever the conditions, whatever the sport, Under Armour delivers the advantage athletes have come to demand.
That demand has created an environment of growth. An environment where building a great team is vital. An environment where doing whatever it takes is the baseline and going above and beyond to protect the Brand is commonplace.
The world's hungriest athletes live by a code, a pledge to themselves and everyone else: Protect This House... I Will.  Our goal is to Build A Great Team!  Will YOU…Protect This House?!
Summary
The Sr. Lead, Demand Planner manages a Category forecast by using data driven statistical information merged with intelligence gathered from multiple inputs such as financial plans, market plans, sales plans, and industry information to reach an unbiased consensus with all parties. A Demand Planner is able to challenge other functions’ assumptions by having a strong understanding of data, different levels of hierarchy forecasts, forecast error, and the drivers and statistics that will help minimize bias. Ultimately, a strong Demand Planning team has the ability for everyone in the organization to plan better and ensure the forecast delivers all revenue, service and inventory targets.
The Demand Planner is the owner of the Demand Plan that is sent to Supply Planning to procure all inventory for UA.  The Demand Plan must be aligned to hit financial targets, inventory targets, S&OP metrics and be aligned on with all Regions. The Demand Planner drives collaboration, seeks input and leads consensus of the Demand Plan with Regional Demand Planning, Sales Planning, Sales, Merchandise Planning, Categories, FP&A, Supply Chain and Go-to-Market teams.
Responsibilities:
Use Demand Planning software and functionality (including statistical modeling, like style mapping, seasonality curves) to develop baseline forecasts for a Category.
Follow a regimented monthly meeting cadence to collaborate and collect input from Categories, Merchant Planning, Regional Demand Planning, Sales Planning, Supply Chain and FP&A to adjust the forecast to reach consensus with all parties.
Run the Demand Review meeting (similar to a Consensus Meeting) in the monthly S&OP cycle to report on all forecast changes, collaborate with participants and challenge areas of the forecast that do not align with data driven global demand plan. Escalate areas that consensus cannot be reached to the next step in the S&OP process.
Run reporting on forecast accuracy, forecast bias and stability and identify ways to improve the forecast.  Reporting will also be required to provide summaries of key programs, help resolve operational issues or other ad-hoc needs on a routine basis.
Collaborate with Supply Planning and the Auto Replenishment team to optimize production flow to reduce risk, eliminate constraints and decrease lead times on key items to create a production flow to the Regions that helps meet all service level and inventory targets.
Participate in or lead projects related to data driven supply chain optimization, planning system improvements, master data strategy, etc.
