Summary
The Sr. Professional, Global Demand Planning Analyst will support the Global Demand Planning team by managing and validating forecast passes, evaluating forecast accuracy and bias, forecast versus financial analysis, providing root cause analysis on exceptions, like style mapping, key program analysis and ad-hoc requests.  Global Demand Planning manages category forecast by using data driven statistical information merged with intelligence gathered from multiple inputs such as financial plans, market plans, sales plans, and industry information to reach an unbiased consensus with all parties.  A Demand Planner is able to challenge other functions’ assumptions by having a strong understanding of data, different levels of hierarchy forecasts, forecast error, and the drivers and statistics that will help minimize bias. A strong Demand Planning Analyst will help guide the Global Demand Planning team to the key areas to focus and improve.
Responsibilities:
Develop and run reporting on forecast accuracy, forecast bias, stability and other forecasting metrics to identify opportunities to improve the forecast.  Reporting will also be required to provide summaries of key programs, help resolve operational issues or other ad-hoc needs on a routine basis.
Develop KPIs and validation protocols to ensure all Demand Planning submission and passes are complete and accurate.
Provide analysis and assist in the population of the monthly S&OP Demand Review templates and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with IT, Regional Demand Planning and Supply Planning on Demand Planning forecast loads/passes, system settings and planning calendars.
Participate on projects related to data driven supply chain optimization, planning system improvements, master data strategy, etc.

Deliver consistent results and hits deadlines within the scope of the role.The Global Demand Planning team controls the forecast signal that dictates the largest spend in the company in inventory (over $2.5B). The accuracy of the signal is critical to insuring Revenue targets are accurate and can be delivered. The accuracy of the Demand Plan is also critical for insuring service level targets, inventory targets and operational efficiency targets are all met.  The role of the Global Demand Planning Analyst is critical to insuring the accuracy of the Demand Planning. The role is a Global function that interacts directly with all the Regional Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Auto Replenishment.

Generates new ideas in team settings.The output from the Demand Planning Analyst will be integral in the decisions made by the Global Demand Planning team and leadership on adjustments to the forecast.
The Demand Planning Analyst determines the integrity and validity of the forecast signal.

Builds trusting relationships with teammates and works with others in alignment with team goals.The Demand Planning Analyst will receive guidance from the head of Global Demand Planning & AR as well as the Global Demand Planners. The Demand Planning Analyst should be able to take the guidance to dig in the data and produce the requested results while providing recommendations.  The Demand Planning Analyst will be a participant in Demand Planning system upgrades/implementations, data driven analytics projects and key initiatives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics or other relevant field preferred.
5+ year professional experience.  3-5 years minimum Analytics, Demand Planning, Sales Planning or equivalent experience desired.  Strong reporting experience required.
Demonstrated strong analytical background.
Has strong analytical skills with the ability to scrutinize and break down facts and concepts into their strengths and weaknesses. 
Apply logic to solve problems and get the job done.
Collaboration, building consensus, and communicating effectively. 
Managing a process and output.
Occasional travel will be required for training, conferences, or regional visits. Typically would range from 0-2 trips per year.
