Summary
Under Armour is looking for a Contract Specialist in its Baltimore, MD office with 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably within an in-house legal department. The position will require engagement on a variety of commercial agreements and related documents, including SaaS agreements, IT, marketing and general service agreements and statements of work, privacy and security addenda, trademark licenses and nondisclosure agreements.  The Contract Specialist will work closely with Commercial Team attorneys, the Indirect Procurement department, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity and other business units to review and negotiate contracts, identify issues requiring additional legal/business/finance approval, and work with the vendor’s representatives to expedite transaction closure.  In addition, the Contract Specialist will ensure teammates are aware of and executing on various processes and policies integral to day-to-day operations and corporate controls.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial review of incoming contract requests and documents from global teams to identify any terms that vary from corporate standards and/or deal terms.
With minimal supervision and in partnership with Indirect Procurement, the broader Legal team and internal stakeholders, negotiate a wide variety of agreements with external vendors and suppliers, including regular engagement with cross-functional departments and internal stakeholders as necessary to drive contacts to closure.
Draft contracts and related documents consistent with legal and corporate standards, and address contract issues by recommending appropriate modifications through redlines. 
Identify, research and escalate complex legal issues to attorneys for resolution as appropriate.
Collaborate with internal business stakeholders to address contract concerns such as basic interpretation, vendor performance issues and termination.
Support Contracts Management function in development of contract templates and playbooks including assisting with training on proper use.
Provide additional support on various Legal Department projects.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 - 4 years related work experience within an in-house legal department.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate contract concepts effectively across all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external parties.
Solid organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively multi-task, re-prioritize and work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and drive agreements to conclusion in compliance with corporate standards, while remaining calm under pressure.
Ability to strike a prudent, business-friendly and collaborative balance between effective risk identification, counselling and maintenance of corporate standards with business objectives.
Self-starter who takes ownership and enjoys working across departments.
Possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality.
Technology transactions experience a plus. 
Team mindset, can-do attitude and sense of humor required.
