MyFitnessPal, part of Under Armour Connected Fitness, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us improve and grow our top ranked nutrition and fitness app that’s helping our millions of users reach their health goals. As part of the Nutrition Core team, your work will have a large impact on the experiences delivered across all platforms. Team dynamic is important to help us deliver quickly and effectively, so we are looking for great collaborators and engineers who enjoy having responsibility and value the investment of solving hard problems.
The following skills are a sampling of what we’re looking for:
4+ years experience with Ruby or another common programming language (Scala, C#, JavaScript, Python, etc)
Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
Experience with one or more data stores (MySQL, Mongo, Redis, Memcache)
Comfortable supporting and debugging systems
Sees the value of good software development practices/patterns/architecture
Believes that supporting team members is the path to success and positive impacts
Willing to collaborate to serve customer needs and find creative ways to accomplish tasks
Desires to grow systems with a forward-looking perspective
Sees privacy and security of our systems and data as a top priority
Ideally, has built backend services supporting mobile or web clients
Passionate about being part of the brand and building something to get excited about
