Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement Job in North Vancouver, BC

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:The Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement will lead the creation of an improved indirect procurement process for the strategic sourcing of goods and services for Arc’teryx. This role will work with key leaders and stakeholders within Arc’teryx and Amer Sports to proactively enable budget owners to maximize the value they receive from vendors to meet their objectives and generate sustainable improvements and savings through identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices. No Meet Your Future Team:The Arc’teryx Finance team supports all parts of the business with operational finance needs, resource deployment, planning, reporting, and strategic decision making. The Finance team ensures governance and protection of the company’s assets and advises leadership on key investment decisions and performance improvement. This is the first key role in building out the Indirect Procurement team as we begin to build out this capability.  The function sits within the broader Arc’teryx Finance organization.  If you were the Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Categorizing and sourcing strategy implementation of the category in scope for Arc'teryx.  The focus and support areas will be on the brand, marketing, and retail functions! Monitoring and analyzing the relevant supplier and agency markets to identify further improvement opportunities and create value for the business! Working in close cooperation with senior leaders and stakeholders from respective functions, and countries on related procurement projects! Proactively managing relationships with major external partners for the categories in scope! Interacting with relevant procurement roles in different countries to share knowledge, gather requirements, and identify category specific improvement opportunities! Leading RFP processes from creation; cost analysis; negotiation; contract execution! Evaluating supplier contracts and determine go-to-market approach for critical Indirect goods & services! Leading Indirect supplier negotiations for the relevant spend areas within Arc'teryx! Utilizing business unit cost and spend data to identify procurement opportunities ! Managing Indirect spend reporting and developing process with Finance for frequent tracking and communication to leadership! Providing guidance to internal Stakeholders on sourcing and procurement capabilities and processes! Leading the localization and implementation of Global procurement policy and proceduresHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:! Contributing to procurement excellence & development projects that allows you to be an active contributor to the development of our Global Indirect Procurement organization! Promoting process improvement and implementation of new best practices! Building out the Arc’teryx Indirect Procurement team needed to support the growth of the businessAre you our next Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement?! You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Business Process Management, Finance, STEM, Marketing, or equivalent experience! You have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in the procurement field or comparable experience, ideally in a global company with a comparable size and complexity as Arc’teryx! You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sourcing or Procurement Manager for the aforementioned indirect categories! You have deep category management framework understanding! You have experience in developing and implementing procurement category strategies! You have deep knowledge of procurement and sourcing strategies! You have experience in leading negotiations; good track record of delivering sustainable improvements and savings! You have experience in contracting / contract management! You have experience in leading RFx projects and marketing tenders! You have experience in SAP Ariba P2P or similar procurement tools, MS products, Contract Management tools, eSourcing tools! You are comfortable working in a matrix organization! You can communicate effectively and persuasively across a diverse set of stakeholders! You are a motivated, stress-resistant person, who strives for excellence, is open-minded and has a positive mindset! You are able and willing to travel domestic and internationally as required!
