Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As the Accountant you will ensure accuracy of financial ledgers and timely preparation of financial statements. You will provide accounting expertise, guidance, and oversight to Arc’teryx teams across North America in support of day-to-day operations. Meet Your Future Team:The Arc’teryx Finance team supports all parts of the business with operational finance needs, resource deployment, planning, reporting, and strategic decision making. The Finance team ensures governance and protection of the company’s assets and advises leadership on key investment decisions and performance improvement.Is this job open to relocation? NoWill there be Visa support? NoCan this job be hired remotely? Hybrid - In-office and remote If you were the Accountant now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Performing period end close accounting procedures in a timely manner! Preparing monthly accruals and provisions needed to ensure the accuracy of period end financial statements! Reconciling General Ledger accounts and preparing correction journal entries as required! Supporting with the preparation of legal entity financial statements! Providing accounting oversight and reconciliation of inventory stock counts! Providing working papers and supporting information during internal and external audit engagements! Providing general accounting support to Arc’teryx teams across North America! Reconciling monthly expense submissions to corporate credit card statements! Reviewing intercompany recharges and supporting backup! Supporting with finance systems development and testing! Supporting with the administration of expense and travel management systems! Providing accounting support for corporate/sales tax filings and audits! Providing accounting support to Payroll! Performing bank reconciliationsHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:! Managing the period close process and financial statements preparation for multiple entities! Updating company-wide policies for new accounting processes and controlsAre you our next Accountant?! You have 3+ years proven experience in an Accounting or equivalent role! You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent field; A professional accounting designation or progress toward accounting designation is preferred! You have experience within an international brand operating across multiple entities! You have experience within a Retail/D2C organization! You have exceptional attention to detail! You have advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for MS Excel.! You are highly proficient in accounting systems. Experience with SAP FICO and Oracle EPM is an asset.! You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines! You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across departments, organizations, and countries! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You can balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement! You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment !
