No If you were the Senior Designer - Knit – Inline now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Creating innovative apparel and accessory products to address the needs of our athletes and guests! Partnering with our knit developers to drive the research and development of innovative technologies in including yarns and materials, as well as fit, pattern and construction techniques for all knit product categories! Collaborating closely with other Designers to bring new knit concepts to the range (such as new yarns, structures, construction techniques, features, etc.) ! Providing strong mentorship to Designers and Developers ! Maintaining continuous awareness of industry trends and collaborating with Arc’teryx athletes and other industry representatives, enabling Arc’teryx to exceed our guests’ evolving needs! Presenting at internal meetings, design reviews and seasonal stage gates, annual seasonal handoffs and other product meetings! Attending tradeshows and company events as required! Visiting sourcing and development vendors as requiredHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:! Creating an innovative and wholistic approach to knitwear for apparel and accessories that encompasses yarn innovation, construction innovation, silhouette and fit approach! Partnering with our knit developer and materials development to create yarn innovations that solve for our athlete! Contributing to a yarn innovation/platform with materials development and knitwear developer, helping to create a visual language for knitwear across product types, and exploring knit silhouettes for key activitiesAre you our next Senior Designer - Knit! You have a Degree in Design (Apparel, Industrial or Textile Engineering)! You have 8+ years’ hands-on experience designing relevant textile-based products, with an expertise in knit solutions! You have advanced knowledge, skill and ability in mentoring others on the design process, including patterning, sewing, and garment construction! You have advanced technical and creative skills to pattern and prototype new products! You are an excellent team player with the ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision! You have hands-on experience creating tools and construction methods to assist in solving construction issues! You have excellent planning, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills! You are technically proficient with 8 years’ experience using Adobe Illustrator, Gerber or an equivalent pattern software! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement! Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it!
