Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:  As the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, you provide leadership to the Business Intelligence team, overseeing the design and creation of highly engaging analytics solutions that meet the needs of a wide spectrum of users including executives, managers, and analysts.  You will form trusted partnerships to improve the overall speed of analytics for the organization.  You will lead a growing team as we transition to a new ERP and data platform, while keeping up with the fast-moving pace of the business. This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work.  Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.  Meet Your Future Team: The Business Intelligence team works cross-functionally with users across several business areas including Finance, Retail, Digital Marketing, Merchandise Planning & Allocations.  Within the department, we collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Architecture, and Project Management, delivering a consistent experience across a variety of products.  If you were the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Creating and executing on quarterly objectives and key results for the Business Intelligence team relevant to the project roadmap ! Participating in the Data & Analytics Council, including top-down demand prioritization, ensuring projects prioritized align with people, technology, and available resources  ! Creating and maintaining a bottom-up demand management process for the Data & Analytics team for small and medium sized projects, including demand intake and project prioritization ! Working with the Project Manager, Data & Analytics and Manager, Data Engineering & Architecture, to ensure project resources, scope and timelines align with prioritized demand ! Advocating for Data Mapping and Lineage, communicating when systems of records for enterprise data are unclear, and ensuring we develop single source of truth data models ! Advocating for Data Governance and Quality, ensuring new business definitions contained within BI projects are signed off by data owners ! Ensuring operational excellence of the reporting and analytics platform(s) through management of the Data & Analytics Service Desk ! Collaborating with the Data & Analytics leaders to create, maintain and continuously improve the Operating Model ! Collaborating with the Manager, Data Engineering & Architecture to ensure front-end systems adhere to and are compliant with overall data architecture ! Gaining complete knowledge of the Arc’teryx data platform, with the ability to troubleshoot any problems that occur and teach other members of the team effective troubleshooting skillsHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future: ! Creating and maintaining a 12 to 18-month project roadmap for the Business Intelligence team that aligns with the Data Strategy ! Partnering with business leaders to provide a variety of services including buy or build decisions, when to provide products or services for business units, and consultation on self-service or centralized reporting topics ! Participating in project discovery sessions for IS projects that require an analytics component, ensuring reporting requirements are considered throughout the project’s lifecycle Are you our next Senior Manager, Business Intelligence?! You have a bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics, Business, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience ! You have 10+ years in proven Data & Analytics roles and 5+ years in a specific Software or BI Development role ! You have 5+ years of experience in the vertical retail or outdoor industry ! You have 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams, and interacting with various business strategies ! You possess proven Agile project management skills ! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions ! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity ! You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration ! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement !
