Department: OperationsReports to: Manager, Delivery & TransportationLocation: New Westminster, BCYour Opportunity at ARC’TERYX: As the Logistics Specialist, you work on advanced components of our inbound and outbound supply chain. You provide guidance to internal stakeholders with unique reports and support in their requests for data to support business needs. You act as a key point of contact for external partners in times of high priority escalations and resolutions.  This role is primarily based out of our New Westminster, BC office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. We operate behind the scenes, and the work we do creates the foundation for the business to deliver an excellent customer experience.  If you were the Logistics Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Acting as a point of contact for internal team members regarding specific distribution center queries and updates ! Helping to mentor and train new members of the team ! Reviewing, auditing, coding, and approving freight invoices (air, ocean, and courier) to quotes or price agreements ! Maintaining all relevant Logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ! Analyzing and formulating logistics solutions for new trade lanes and expedited shipments ! Creating and maintaining transit timetables to ensure purchase orders are planned with correct shipping lead times ! Assisting Supply Planning teams with purchase order allocation tracking and inquiries including past due shipments! Creating and maintaining key performance indicator (KPI) reports to ensure satisfied service levels ! Improving logistics processes wherever possible to maximize efficiency and improve service to internal and external customers ! Creating marketing sample invoices ! Ensuring non-compliance reports (NCRs) are generated to measure vendor performance ! Investigating and filing claims for lost or damaged product against transportation carriers, forwarders, and service providers ! Identifying issues/gaps in vendor performance and escalating to leadership for resolution if necessary ! Monitoring and tracking detention and release issues related to cotton products ! Creating all necessary inbound delivery numbers in our enterprise resource planning systems ! Providing support for Distribution, Transportation and Supply Chain projects as required! Working with other teams or business partners on special projects Are you our next Logistics Specialist?! You have 3+ years’ experience in logistics, or another relevant supply chain field! You are highly organized, possessing a strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and maintain high volume of data ! You are proficient in the use of SAP! You feel comfortable providing guidance to newer team members ! You have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing! You are comfortable communicating with internal customers as well as with external vendors ! You are self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision ! You are proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Power Point ! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity ! You balance autonomy and collaboration with your teammates ! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement !
