Department: Business ExcellenceReports to: VP, Business ExcellenceLocation: North VancouverAs the Director of Retail Training, you are accountable planning, implementing, and managing the training strategy and programs for our stores globally. You lead a team that creates best-in-class programming, supports implementation training, and delivers training that enables our business to operate effectively today and scale for the future. You are a natural leader and create development opportunities within your team and the business to ensure the highest level of engagement for your team and our stores. You build capabilities within your team to drive execution, strategy and to achieve results for the business both today, and in the future.  This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.  Meet Your Future Team:Your leadership of the Retail Training team is key to our organization’s growth and business maturity goals. The Retail Training team, a part of our Business Excellence team, is in service of the business supporting our scalable store growth and achievement of our business goals. If you were the Director, Retail Training now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Solidifying the future strategy of the department’s five-year goals! Working with Senior Leadership to create and execute against the strategic plan! Building, coaching and leading a high performing retail training team to deliver against the strategy! Building and maintaining evergreen core training programs! Establishing the team’s organizational design and structure to ensure the team will be able to support the needs of the business today and into the future! Contributing to the global leadership development framework creation! Creating a world-class onboarding program! Creating cross-functional efficiencies between the internal adjacent training teams! Creating a roadmap for the training delivery tools! Building, coaching and leading a high performing retail training team to deliver against the strategyHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:! Developing our global training playbook! Leading the creation of our role-based retail training programming! Developing a best-in-retail training team! Working with cross-functional partners in designing training strategies for the delivery of major initiativesAre you our next Director, Retail Training?! You have 10+ years of vertical multi-unit retail experience leading cross-functional teams! You have a degree in a related field, and an MBA or Accounting Management Designation is a plus! You are an expert in spotting scalable improvement opportunities translating to business performance growth! You have expertise in training program design, strategy and execution! You have a proven track record of success in the planning, execution and delivery of enterprise level projects and programs.! You excel at finding simple, scalable solutions for complex problems and developing others to do the same! You are proficient in managing a portfolio of projects and leading change through others  ! You have exceptional leadership capabilities with a reputation of building high-performance team! You have strong executive level communications capabilities!
