About the job

As a Supply Planner, you will play a key role in the Arc’teryx Supply Chain. You will lead Supply Planning with domestic and contract manufacturers, vendor delivery performance management, vendor lead time negotiation and factory capacity planning. In addition, you will drive KPI improvement on On Time In Full (OTIF), Supplier Delivery Performance (SDP) and Supplier Lead Time (SLT). You will support process improvement within Supply Planning and beyond, continuously improving the planning process with factories as well as with cross-functional departments, including Purchasing, Demand Planning, D&T, Sourcing and Commercial.Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ! You work with Product Commercialization, Sourcing and Demand Planning teams to develop and maintain capacity plan at domestic and/or contract manufacturers! You work with domestic and/or contract manufacturers on production plan, delivery schedule, and associated activities to meet the Demand Plan  requirement! You work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve service (OTIF) and Product Supply related issues! You partner with the Demand Planning team to develop adequate inventory strategies to achieve company targets without comprising service levels ! You work with factories, Distribution & Transportation and other stakeholder departments to mitigate peak season capacity constraints by optimizing physical inventory flow of Raw Materials and Finished Goods! You manage domestic and/or contract manufacturer relationships to ensure optimal performance and continuous process improvement ! You develop and maintain adequate knowledge of all factories and related processes to support planner transition and absence coverage when required! You maintain a thorough understanding of key customers, key stakeholder and key cross functional process, as well as the business objectives! You partner with RM Purchasing team on RM procurement with domestic and/or contract manufacturers to drive optimal RM utilization and reduce RM write off! You identify risks and opportunities for improvement with responsible manufactures and Supply Planning processes, work with Arc’teryx Product Commercialization team and AMER Sourcing team to implement solutions and take advantage of opportunities! You track and drive KPI improvement:  OTIF (On Time In Full), SDP (Supplier Delivery Performance), SLT (Supplier Lead Time Performance), and OTB (Open to Buy), Analyzing root cause, implement resolutions or provide recommendations! You identify gaps and opportunities in cross-functional processes, drive or support improvement with relevant teams! You maintain and improve Supply Planning SOP (Standard Operating Procedure (to drive process consistency within the department, promote Best Practices within Supply Planning! You support new hire training and cross training among planners! You work with Supply Planning Managers and peers to explore and develop new KPIs where necessary to drive Supply Planning performance improvement! You support or initiate continuous process improvement within Supply Planning team including putting forward recommendations ! You support other projects and tasks as assigned by Supply Chain managementAdditional experience, education and/or skills required:! You have 5+ years’ experience in Supply Planning or Production Planning or equivalent Supply Chain position, preferably in apparel or outdoor industry! You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, or Finance! You have great analytical skills and strong business acumen! You have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional time management skills! You have a proactive approach in solving problems, and strong interpersonal skills and communication skills both verbal and written! You have the ability to prioritize, balance immediate, short to long term tasks and responsibilities! You are proficient in MS office tools, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Words ! You have the ability to balance autonomy and collaboration! You are highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You have the ability to seek the best (not necessarily the easiest) solutions, with strong commitment for excellence!
