About the job

As a Technical Specialist, you will ensure Arc’teryx brand integrity through global maintenance of product construction standards, best production practices and quality standards across all product categories and locations of manufacture.Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ! You work with Quality, Advanced R&D, Design, Product Development, Pattern/Fit, and Production teams to establish quality standards for all new construction and manufacturing methods at all finished goods factories! You support Manager, Quality Assurance in enforcing known quality standards for finished goods and raw materials with focus on preventative action pre-production! You support the sourcing, assessment, and training of new factory resources and ensure that Arc’teryx brand standards are met! You provide technical expertise in Arcteryx construction methods and quality standards for all product categories at internal and external factories, as required! You ensure all factories observe efficient and cost-effective methods, best manufacturing practices and safety standards to support cost reduction, safety compliance, and increased quality of finished product! You provide internal and external training and coaching of Quality, Production, Product Design, Technical Services and Sample Line teams, where necessary! You assess and regularly report on new and existing factory progress and adherence to known Arcteryx manufacturing principals! You maintain frequent and regular connection with Arcteryx factory to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the complexity of the products being producedAdditional experience, education and/or skills required:! You have knowledge of apparel construction, material construction, and properties! You have experience working Gore-tex and down-based apparel! You have 7+ years manufacturing experience (preferably within the apparel industry)! You have expertise in manufacturing best practices such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S! You exhibit superior communication and interpersonal skills! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You have proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You show initiative to balance and resolve competing interests and priorities within strict time constraints! You have excellent organizational skills and flexibility! You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration! You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right! Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it! You have fluency in written and spoken English! You have the ability to travel up to two weeks each quarterAssets:! You have 5+ years as a production manager! Fluency in a second language! Knowledge of Arc’teryx products!
