Senior Infrastructure Analyst Job in North Vancouver, BC

As a Senior Infrastructure Analyst, you are an experienced and talented engineer that will be working with our Information Systems (IS) team. You are a highly competent and motivated individual who will develop our cloud infrastructure, bolster our onsite infrastructure, and coordinate them to serve our diverse teamswith enterprise-grade reliability. You are familiar with best practices around connectivity, security, and the Shared Security Model, and implement these practices to troubleshoot and maintain cloud services ! You educate the infrastructure, web, and development teams on how to keep the environment successful and what practices they need to follow ! You keep up to date on our existing cloud services, how the stakeholders use them, and help implement and support DevOps practices to enable the team ! You use best practices to build and grow our cloud presence to support a growing businessOnsite Infrastructure:! You maintain network and system performance through monitoring and analysis, and tuning and enhancing our diagnostic toolset as needed ! You install, configure, test and document server hardware and software, defining system and operational policies and proceduresand share support for them with the team ! You develop, test, and support the backup and replication of the production environments, as well as empowering your peers to use these solutions to support Business Continuity ! You work to replace and upgrade systems with an eye on supporting future point operations  ! You build and evolve scalable infrastructure services through identifying liabilities, evaluating and communicating options, and implementing the right solutionsGeneral:! You provide support to the Manager, Infrastructure as required with expert advice and proactive suggestions ! You collaborate with Amer and Global Security teams to advocate for our needs and leverage globally-available solutions for our business ! You provide advice, technical mentorship, and senior technical support to the System Administrator and others in the department ! You build automation and productivity tools to streamline and scale applications in the production environment ! You work closely with development teams to integrate their projects into the production environments and ensure their ongoing infrastructure support once implemented ! You gain a deep application-level knowledge of the systems and environments to contribute to their overall design ! You troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application, deployment, and operations ensuring systems are available and minimizing any downtime ! You build and maintain monitoring solutions for a range of critical systems, and ensure alerts are proactively addressed ! You maintain, develop, and support documentation of systems, procedures, and KB informationAdditional experience, education and/or skills required: ! You have 5+ years’ experience as Systems Engineer/Admin ! You have a post-secondary level diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience ! You have comprehensive knowledge of hardware and network implementation requirements ! You are able to administer a Microsoft Windows Server environment including Active Directory, NFS, DHCP, DNS, IIS, printing and group policy ! You have experience in the configuration and maintenance of VMWare virtualized environments ! You have very strong scripting and automation skills ! You have solid experience working with Cloud Services environments (AWS, Google, Azure) and constructing them for robustness and scalability ! You have AWS Service Experience (EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, RDS,etc.) including deploying infrastructure as code ! You have advanced networking expertise including BGP, QOS, and monitoring/management of redundant connectivity between branches ! You have solid communication skills for explaining concepts and processes to end-users and technical peers. ! You have knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity best practices, and experience implementing them. ! You are able and willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 support ! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions ! You have AWS Architecture Experience (Availability zones, Direct Connection, Hybrid Environment Management) ! You are Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or other industry certifications ! You have familiarity with build and release automation tools and methodologies, such as Jenkins and Bamboo, and how they support the development processes. ! You are experienced working in an iterative based development environment using Agile/SCRUM or Kanban ! You have a familiarity with Logistics and Manufacturing environments ! You have an understanding of storage Solutions such as Netapp and 3PAR, Hybrid cloud storage ! You have knowledge of Apple systems Apply for this job
