Job purpose: As the Associate Merchant, you execute the retail merchandising strategy and vision.  You support the merchandising team to drive global Direct To Consumer (DTC) assortment concepts and buying strategies that support consumer-centric brand storytelling, create meaningful retail experiences, and increase branded space productivity. You lead a designated category and will learn how to guide trends based on consumer data and feedback.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
⏵ You support the execution of the DTC merchandising vision through how you assort and buy the line at all levels of the hierarchy
⏵ You support merchandising with building seasonal merchandise plans that achieve financial targets, support the design vision, and satisfy consumer needs
⏵ You help to select inspiring colour stories and flow strategies for the DTC channel
⏵ You help to present key DTC priorities at Idea to Consumer (I2C) stage gates to ensure execution of the channel needs
⏵ You work with select Product team members to help define, edit, and amplify DTC product assortments that drive brand and sales
⏵ You participate and support in the the I2C process with marketing to ensure support of the consumer initiatives relevant to the DTC channel through model/article investment
⏵ You read, analyze and respond to seasonal, quarterly, weekly trends and react quickly by working with cross-functional partners to shift store allocations and securing additional stock
⏵ You analyze how merchandising decisions and results impact sales and PGP
⏵ You analyze your category’s historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by category and product type
⏵ You have an eye for product and lead the prioritization of product categories and models; taking into account limited space, resources, brand priorities
⏵ You create sales reports and historical re-caps to analyze and communicate business performance
⏵ You participate in ad-hoc merchandising projects to test new ideasAdditional experience, education and/or skills:

⏵ You have a university degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
⏵ You love apparel products 
⏵ You have the ability to work in a global matrix organization
⏵ You have an understanding of outdoor retail marketplace
⏵ You have great organizational and analytical skills
⏵ You are a strong communicator and presenter
