About the job
As Mechanic 3, your main duty is to provide mechanical and tooling support to the factory with regular maintenance, troubleshooting problems on various machines as they arise and create or calibrate new tools.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:! Collaborate with engineering department to innovate, customize and improve tooling, production methods, and processes! Work with Training department to develop training materials and conduct training for new employees especially on machine knowledge and set-up! Conduct regular walk-through of production floor to proactively identify and receive employee feedback on machine related issues; educate employees on proper machine set-up and cleaning methods to ensure optimum machine performance! Provide immediate support to factory employees experiencing technical difficulties with their machines; troubleshoot and resolve problems as soon as possible to ensure little to no delay in production and reduce cost! Perform scheduled quality service and preventive maintenance of various sewing, taping, Down machine and press machines on a regular basis ! Calibrate machinery to prevent quality problems! Provide input and support on best practices in assembling, calibrating and testing new equipment and other accessories! Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following 5S principles; ensure all safety procedures are followed when performing repairs! Collaborate with production engineering department on manufacturing templates and patterns for Pattern stitch machines! Research and study on AI manufacturing for current and future development.! Perform special projects and other duties as instructed by Manager, Machine & ToolingAdditional experience, education and/or skills (required):! Minimum 8 years sewing and other machine repair experience and minimal millwright experience! Mechanically inclined! Strong verbal and written communication skills! Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills! Team player and able to interface directly with cross functional teams! Solid conflict resolution skills! Basic knowledge of 5S and Lean production! Strong computer skills including good working knowledge in MS OfficeAdditional experience, education and/or skills (assets):! Experiences with electric, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems! Experience in pattern programming! Carpentry skillsApply for this job
