About the job

As the Store Manager, you lead the delivery of the Arc’teryx brand vision and consumer experience in store. You develop, train, and motivate a passionate retail team to educate and inspire our customers. You are responsible for driving business results in your store by overseeing store operations, managing merchandising and inventory, developing community and marketing events, and partnering with our Brand and Retail Leadership teams to execute the retail and brand strategies.Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ! You maintain an open, positive, and collaborative relationship with Retail Leadership and Arc’teryx Brand teams! You update the Epicenter Leader (EL) and store staff on sales, KPIs, targets, and status of goals weekly! You ensure retail and brand strategies are cascaded to and understood by your team! You ensure company and store policies are communicated effectively and adhered to accordingly! You build, coach, and guide a high performing team of retail professionals who align closely with our values and culture! You oversee the execution of new hire training, including brand/product knowledge and selling tools! You inspire and motivate your team, driving employee engagement through goal setting, recognition, and the continuous development of your team members! You drive an exceptional consumer experience by serving as a role model for the team, instilling the importance of customer service in your team members and empowering them to ensure each customer interaction is exceptional! You ensure quality of service is upheld by monitoring and providing regular feedback to team members, training, and managing escalated situations where required! You leverage our Ecomm channel to ensure a positive consumer experience when products are not available in store! In collaboration with the Brand Retail team and the Community Marketing Manager, you lead the development and execution of store events that promote the brand, drive traffic, and increase community engagement! You ensure local social media is leveraged effectively and appropriately to promote the store and its events! In collaboration with the Epicenter Leader, you review and monitor progress against revenue, expense, and profit goals for the store ! Through planning and forecasting, you ensure the store is effectively resourced to achieve financial targets! You hold regular team meetings to engage and communicate store targets to the team! You partner closely with the inventory team to ensure market needs are met, advising on market relevant product needs and communicating key styles! You communicate capital expense needs to the Epicenter Leader to ensure the store is well maintained and physically reflects the brand! You monitor loss prevention, taking necessary action to protect assets and ensuring store security are properly equipped with knowledge of apprehension and persecution procedures! You oversee the execution of in-store merchandising, ensuring standards are consistently upheld ! You support Epicenter Leader with additional projects and responsibilities as requiredAdditional experience, education and/or skills:! You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience ! You have 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the outdoor industry! You are an experienced leader with a demonstrated ability to build and motivate teams!  You have exceptional customer service skills ! You have excellent organizational skills.! You have a strong attention to detail and accuracy! You have outstanding oral and written communication skills! You have the ability to effectively communicate and align with all levels of the organization! You have an understanding of Profit & Loss statements and retail KPI analytics! You are highly self-motivated! You have previous cash handling experience! You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office! You are willing and able to modify your schedule as required to meet business objectives! You have the ability to travel as required! You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement!
