About the job

As a Sewing Machine Operator, your main duty is to operate the machines you are assigned to and efficiently ensure that all work orders are completed as per the model specifications, adhering to all Company quality and safety standards.   What we offer? * Full time shifts only, Monday - Friday * $15.25/hr - up to $20.50/hr * Benefits (MSP, Dental, and Extended Medical) after probation* Transit subsidy of $30/mo * RRSP Program after 6 months * A comprehensive training program* Staff discounts on ARC'TERYX gear* Company events and cultural celebrationsKey responsibilities and accountabilities (including but not limited to): ! You adhere to proper procedure and safety regulations to working on assigned machines and equipment, ensuring correct personal protective equipment is used at all times ! You prepare, set up, and clean the machines before starting work, after completing work, and as required! You follow the Company procedures of apparel construction as per model specifications and supervisor and/or team leader instructions ! You operate different machines as necessary and cross-train to use other machines and equipment to assist with additional department tasks and projects! You review, troubleshoot, and repair any quality control issues with the Quality Control Inspector and your team leader and/or supervisor! You facilitate effective and productive communications within the team to maximize productivity and efficiency! You follow Company regulations and procedures in order to uphold the Company’s quality and safety standards! You perform other duties as assigned Additional experience, education and/or skills (required):! You have a minimum of 2 years' experience with Industrial Sewing! You have previous manufacturing experience or exposure to fast-paced environments ! You have high attention to details ! You have the ability to work well independently and efficiently without direct supervision and to work effectively as a team! You have excellent organizational skills and flexibility! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration! You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment Additional experience, education and/or skills (assets):! You have training in garment construction or experience in a garment production environment! You have basic knowledge of a spoken second language ! You have knowledge of Arc’teryx’s unique products !
