Operations Lead Job in Walnut Creek, BC

The Operations Leader will work closely with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager to complete operational duties for the store. They will support the store leadership team in achieving customer service and sales goals, monitoring expenses, creating and executing a smooth freight flow process, and they will prioritize ensuring the store follows appropriate processes and procedures in alignment with company goals and mission. This leader will also assist in managing the retail store as directed by the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, in a manner consistent with the short and long-term interests, its employees, and the local community. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ! You maintain an open and positive relationship with store management team, retail leadership, and any Arc’teryx brand representative. ! You are a collaborative, dependable, and respectful role model; you communicate positively regarding store management and company strategies. ! You motivate and develop staff in order to encourage their professional development. ! You follow instructions to manage inventory control, shrink, loss prevention plans, paperwork flow, and timeliness of reporting receipt of goods, inventory transfers, and other related inventory matters. ! You execute the physical inventory in alignment with corporate office guidance. ! You work with the Assistant Store Manager and Visual Merchandising Leader to ensure timely flow of inventory to the stock room and sales floor to optimize sales. ! You take full ownership of the stock room, and recognize the impact this role has on the business. ! You ensure that the stockroom is clean and well-organized. You commit to seeking feedback on the organization of this area to focus on team experience and to do your part to drive sales. ! You work with the VM lead to plan for seasonal changes, off price events, and DM product. ! You ensure warranties, damages, and defective merchandise are marked out and shipped to the appropriate warehouse on a consistent schedule.! You assist in protecting company assets through promoting awareness of loss prevention.! You regularly complete cycle counts, on at least a monthly basis. ! While managing the stock room and freight flow process is the prime job responsibility, this will not ever overshadow the customer’s needs or your expected support of the sales floor. ! You provide a superior level of prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service; this includes providing accurate product information. ! You have the ability to quickly resolve customer questions and complaints and empower your team to do the same through modeling and providing in the moment coaching and feedback! You are responsible for opening and closing the store and securing all assets. ! You maintain store security including building security and cash handling. ! You perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager. Additional experience, education and/or skills:! Required! You have a high school diploma or equivalent work experience! You have 2+ years of retail sales and stockroom management ! You have the ability to give clear directions and set expectations for staff ! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You have excellent organizational skills, and are proficient in Excel and Word. ! You are quick to adopt new technology that streamlines your work flow! You have outstanding oral and written communication skills, and a deep understanding of your impact ! You are self-motivated, and enjoy problem solving! You have cash handling experience! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement!
