About the job

As a Business Analyst Lead, you lead a team of Business Analysts who act as the conduit between Information Systems (IS) and multiple business teams. You will be coaching and mentoring the team in the best methods to elicit and analyze requirements; liaising between business and technical resources, and documenting business processes or systems and their integration. The Business Analyst Lead must be able to quickly absorb new and different types of information, modify and adapt existing knowledge, and work in a changing and evolving environment, to ensure successful project delivery using an agile scrum methodology. You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeking to understand the “hows” and “whys”.Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ! You have an active role in ensuring the Business Analysts apply best practice and Arc’teryx Values in achieving their objectives! You coach, mentor and develop the omni-channel Business Analysts to ensure they are high performers within their agile squads and deliver the following:! gather requirements using effective business analysis techniques! translate business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications! create understandable visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences! document detailed user stories, process flows, system flows, and acceptance criteria that will be used for business process review, systems architecture, and quality assurance! identify and document business process changes and improvements! facilitate and manage stakeholder engagement! maintain process and systems documentation as business and systems evolve!  ! You excel in your discipline and help develop, update and embed the expertise within the Business Analysts chapter and the agile squads! You continuously improve the expertise and the way of working (the “how”) applied by the Business Analysts assigned to each agile project squad! Your exceptional ability to collaborate and contribute as a team player is demonstrated in the strong, positive relationships you build within IS and with business teams! You prepare and coordinate system changes for release organize and lead product demo sessions, coordinate user training, arrange special hardware requirements with IS Infrastructure Manager! You compile project scope, activities, and expenditures of projects deemed to be eligible for submission to funding programs (SR&ED, IRAP, NRC, MITACS, etc.)! As a senior team member, you support the Program Manager in achieving the agile squads’ strategic goals! You assist the IS leadership team with other tasks and projects as requiredAdditional experience, education and/or skills:! You have a post-secondary degree in a relevant field, completion of a recognized Business Analysis program, and/or equivalent business experience! You have 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, working on agile projects related to omni-channel projects, and business process areas such as retail, e-commerce, omni-channel, commercial operations, etc.! You have a 2+ years’ experience leading others! You have experience working in an agile methodology! You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders! You have excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems and business requirements efficiently! You have strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities! You have excellent time management skills with the ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines! You are familiar with web-development ! You possess a high level of analytical and critical thinking! You are a strong troubleshooting skills! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement! You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right! Experience with working in the (Outdoor) Apparel industry! Experience with different technologies and application integrations using service layers! Experience as a Product Owner!
