Product Development Assistant (12 Month Temporary) Job in North Vancouver, BC

The Development Team Assistant supports the Development Team in their efforts to develop a consistent level of quality, promoting Arc’teryx as a brand that consistently exceeds customer expectations.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:! You support the Development Team with all aspects of product development, such as data entry, compiling spec packages, coordinating raw materials for counter sampling, product testing and washing ! You prepare commercial invoices and packages to be sent to factories! In collaboration with Developers, Patternmakers, and Sample Makers, you coordinate the sample making process! You actively track seasonal sample making progress and provide weekly updates to Team Manager! You prepare seasonal trim and colour cards! You organize and maintain team sample racks ! You organize raw material inventory! You order office supplies, raw materials, and stock transfers! You support in creating and maintaining construction detail illustrations! You support with garment measuring against finished product specifications! You provide general support to the Development Team as required! You compile project scope, activities, and expenditures of projects deemed to be eligible for submission to funding programs (SR&ED, IRAP, NRC, MITACS, etc.)Additional experience, education and/or skills required:! You have a post-secondary education in Apparel or Textile Design, Technology, or Merchandising, or equivalent experience! You have a knowledge of garment construction! You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office! You have a strong attention to detail and accuracy! You have strong interpersonal and communication skills! You have an understanding of other cultures! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement!
