Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As the Manager of Merchandising, you are responsible for setting the global, long term merchandising strategy for your business areas (Women’s and Veilance) and ensuring that financial targets are achieved.  You lead the Merchant team in the creation of a profitable global range that aligns with our company goals and enhances the consumer experience. Meet Your Future Team: Your future Merchandising team is responsible for delivering the seasonal product line for our Women’s, Veilance, System A, and special projects categories that supports the overall Design Creative Direction while driving company sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals in both our wholesale and vertical channels.  This high performing team works closely with Design and Development to create future seasonal line plans as well as Planning and Allocations to maximize in-season sales performance.  If you were our Manager, Women’s Merchandising & Veilance now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:• Collaborating with the Director of Merchandising to develop long term and seasonal merch strategies for Women’s and Veilance that drives the brand vision, achieves sales targets and exceeds consumers’ expectations• Building, coaching and guiding a high performing global merchant team to deliver against this strategy• Supporting the financial success of multiple product categories by meeting or exceeding retail sales & gross margin sales plans • Overseeing a strategic seasonal selling plan including plans to grow, diminish, hold, exit, and launch as well as sell-thru vs sell-in for the Women’s business and build the strategic seasonal selling plan for Veilance.  • Maintaining communication with regional buying teams to gain an understanding of their marketplace and business and to ensure their needs are incorporated into the global line plan.• Evaluating financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results • Presenting seasonal reports at key calendar touchpoints to key stakeholders on the performance (profitability, model efficiency, etc) of your business areas• Researching and analyzing the global marketplace, identifying key consumer and market insights to inform the plans and strategies for both the Women’s and Veilance business. • You present business cases that support product line extensions into new markets or products types related to your business areas to the merch and design leadership• Overseeing seasonal product briefs for each new Women’s product and ensure that the resulting products are aligned with the business strategy and achieve our seasonal sales goals for the brand.  You build the seasonal product briefs for Veilance that support the collection strategy and achieve our sales goals.• Overseeing the product lifecycle for your business areas, from development to commercialization to eventual redesign, replacement or retirement, managing the execution of the product plan• Collaborating with the Director of Merchandising, Visual Merch, Design, Development, Marketing and Colour, to ensure seasonal strategies come to life in all channels and regions• Partnering with planning and allocation to manage and control inventory levels to optimize sales, gross margin, and sell through of product• Owning and disseminating global go-to-market product knowledge, providing global commercial teams and partners with sell-in tools and product information consistently across all channels.Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:• Collaborating with Design and Development to create a 2023 lineplan that delivers double digit sales growth for the Women’s business and Veilance while delivering new and innovative product launches that support our guests getting outside and living it. • Creating strong cross-functional partnerships with Planning and Allocations counterparts to help understand current business performance and leverage insights to guide and inform future range plansAre you our next Manager, Women’s Merchandising & Veilance?• You have a university degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience• You have 8+ years of experience in a related industry in a Buyer or Merchandising role, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity• You are familiar with the Arc’teryx brand and products • You have the ability to work in a global matrix organization• You have a strong understanding of outdoor retail marketplace • You have strong organizational and analytical skills • You are a strong communicator and presenter • You demonstrate an impeccable taste and are passionate about sustainability, being outside, and the collective power of humanity.• You set a clear vision,
