Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As a Colour Design Assistant, you support the Colour Design Team in the creative process, through the execution of seasonal colour plan. Your work is the foundational introduction to the Colour Design philosophy at Arc’teryx. Meet Your Future Team:The Colour Design Team is a hub that links the product design and visual merchandising process with the guest experience. We balance creativity, design, process, and logistics to ensure the successful execution of the Arc’teryx colour design philosophy.If you were the Colour Design Assistant now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Supporting all creative process to maintain and evolve analogue and digital colour tools! Supporting Colour Designers to maintain colour decisions in Product Line Management and other tracking systems and tools! Supporting Colour Designers throughout the creative colour development process and assisting in execution of seasonal colour direction of assigned portfolios! Collaborating in the completion of all assigned colourway trim specifications and/or completing colourways for garments, hardgoods, footwear or accessories, under the guidance and mentorship of Colour Design team members ! Working closely with Product Developers to ensure colourway Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications are accurate, efficient, and available to factories on time! Streamlining our systems to manage colourway trims and cross-category raw materials, ensuring creative process efficiencies, purchasing accuracy and quality assurance across categories! Acting as a liaison between Colour Designers, Materials Developers and Colour Operations teams, ensuring all materials inquiries are gathered proactively! Creating and maintaining a calibrated digital palette and managing digital assets of all seasonal collections for use through Sales and Marketing channels! Adhering to seasonal calendar dates and assisting in achieving on time delivery of all coloured materials! Facilitating change controls and communications with Product Development teams to ensure the highest standards are met in all Arc’teryx products! Supporting to maintain the pre-line documents, ensuring all images are up to date and in support of the strategy for direct to consumer (DTC) exclusives, China exclusives, and other limited releases! Assisting to execute key visuals to communicate the retail design vision! Assisting to create tools to communicate seasonal colour strategy! Assisting with preparation of internal and external presentationsAre you our next Colour Design Assistant? ! You have an Apparel Design diploma or equivalent, and 2+ years’ experience in a colour and fashion environment! You have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and InDesign! You have excellent colour acuity, a sense of colour harmony, and a knowledge of colour theory! You have an appreciation for changing colour trends! You have a knowledge of Arc’teryx products and other outdoor related products! You have effective time management and organizational skills! You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written and are able to manage shifting priorities within a fast-paced changing environment! You have previous experience coordinating between internal departments and external vendors! You have a strong attention to detail! You have strong interpersonal skills! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement!
