Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As the Manager, Allocations, you will play an immensely important role in bringing Arc’teryx product to market and leading a diverse and impactful team. Together with your team, you will ensure that inventory reaches our retail brand stores, factory outlets and wholesale partners at the right time according to our product marketing calendar and inventory flow plans. You also work with the wholesale team to ensure 3rd party customer orders are managed and invoiced in a timely manner.Meet Your Future Team:The Merchandise Planning & Allocation team is a cross functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks by finding the balance between the right product at the right quantity in the right place at the right time.If you were in the Manager, Allocations position now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:! Building, coaching and developing a high performing allocations team that manages all phases of product movement ! Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insight into retail and sales functions and processes ! Collaborating with the Manager, Inventory and Exit strategy to develop, plan and lead the inventory management strategies for brand stores, factory outlets and B2B customers, including seasonal allocation, replenishment, carryover plan and end of product lifecycle! Collaborating closely with the Merchandise Planning team to ensure that planning and execution are reconciled and that the right product is available at the right place at the right time! Consistently reviewing our product allocation and replenishment strategy and ensure it improves over time! Developing and monitoring performance objectives, ensuring alignment with company strategic goals! Travelling for store visits to support the retail teams! Working effectively in a close team environment, executing coordinated improvements in our delivery systems in order to achieve set objectives and metric goals! Working with regional leaders to identify current and future service needs in order to execute the wholesale business strategy! Analyzing, identifying, and communicating risks to the order book using all reporting tools available, such as: product shortages, order maintenance and subbing strategies, shipping delays, and production delays! Collaborating with regional teams on forecasting revenue by channel and quantities by DC! Coordinating with the Sales, Finance, and Legal teams in onboarding new B2B customers, including the application process and reviewing vendor guides ! Developing, establishing, and documenting best practices and business processesHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:! Developing new methodologies and tracking key KPIs to ensure we have a deep understanding of what is happening in our DTC business and lead your team to action! Ensuring DTC sales results are analyzed and our allocation and forecast plan evolves according to weekly, monthly and quarterly trends, in order to maximize achievement of overall business objectives! Ensuring optimal utilization of existing resources to maximize productivity and quality of service delivery ! Partnering with our Distribution & Transportation teams to create best practices to get product to the right place at the right time from pre-season to in-season to post-season returns! Partnering with our Information Systems teams to build tools and validate data that supports effective and efficient growth of the Arc'teryx business! Supporting the Retail Merchandising team in troubleshooting issues impacting inventory management and escalating to the appropriate person where required! Supporting and developing your team’s capabilities as a coach, mentor and empathetic leader Are you our next Manager, Allocations?! You have a University degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience! You have 3+ years of experience in allocations or inventory management in a direct to consumer/vertical retail business! You have the ability to gather data, digest and analyze it, and from it, create an action plan! You have strong problem solving & decision-making skills and are able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions! You know how to evolve internal processes and gain momentum to make change happen, including the ability to identify and articulate the processes necessary to get things done efficiently and effectively! You are able to manage expectations at all levels of the organization! You know how to influence and prioritize, presenting ideas that lead others to action! You’re able to identify and anticipate risks and you develop contingency plans and processes that mitigate disruptions when risks occur! You are able to travel, as required, for store visits ! You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives! You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions! You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity! You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement!
