About the job
The Product Line Manager researches the market, creates the product line plans, guides product development, and
achieves financial targets to ensure the growth and health of the Arbor business. This position will manage the
boards, bindings, and accessories line development for Arbor Snowboards. The candidate must have an in-depth
knowledge of the snowboard industry, snowboard history, and current market trends. Strong calendar management
and organizational skills are required. This employee will serve as a liaison between the design, sales and marketing
teams to synergize interdepartmental creativity towards the end goal of advancing the Arbor brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the Arbor line represents the brand’s fundamentals and is merchandised to compete globally from
the perspective of price, design, and construction.
• Manage comprehensive product development milestones to ensure on time delivery and quality go-to-market
execution. Manage the design calendar and ensure designs are delivered on time.
• Monitor and maintain the timely communication with vendors through the product development lifecycle.
• Work with the marketing, graphic design and product development team to create design briefs in order to
translate into comprehensive specs within technical documentation.
• Lead cost negotiations to ensure targets are met along with product objectives.
• Track proto-typing and all related approval needs. Work with team riders and sales team to develop pro-model
product development.
• Assist the Vernice, CA based art department in their efforts to develop product and packaging graphics
according to the parameters of our line plan, merchandising decisions, and calendar.
• Complete and analyze comprehensive market research involving global consumer, retailer, competitor and
industry data to build SWOT analysis for Arbor Snowboards.
• Train sales force on product and line details
• Assist with the management and execution of brand related events (tradeshows, sales meetings, etc)
