Job Description

Blue C Advertising is looking for a passionate Account Executive to join our growing team! Our AE will manage key accounts and build client relationships. You’ll be responsible for client services and account management. Our AE will be fully versed in all aspects of project management, budgeting, client interactions, planning and organization. You’ll be responsible for meeting with clients, presenting them with ideas to help their business and get them excited! You will take the lead on projects, take ownership of your key accounts and be accountable for their growth. You must be an individual with an outgoing personality and a passion for the business of advertising and marketing. One who can develop and present a solid presentation and present materials. Our ideal candidate has a passion for digital media, social media, marketing and advertising and has a verifiable track record of success.

Primary Functions:

• The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for daily contact between the agency and client accounts. The AE interfaces with various agency departments to define specific projects and then help ensure that projects are designed and delivered to meet the specific objective. This includes identifying which agency resources are needed and then meeting with various department members to ensure the agency is providing the most talented resources possible to solve specific issues or to help our clients exceed their objectives.
• The AE works closely with the Account Supervisor (AS) and Creative Director (CD) to develop strategic marketing plans for clients. After plans are developed and presented to clients, the AE is primarily responsible for carrying out the plan on a daily basis.
• The AE works closely with the AS on client accounts as assigned by the AS to help manage workflow as needed.
• The AE along with the CD are responsible to help identify and gain new business from existing clients.
Specific Functions:
• Meets regularly with and provides client service leadership for Traffic, Creative, and Production team members to coordinate agency efforts on behalf of assigned clients.
• Completes reports from all client meetings and distributes to appropriate agency personnel. Quickly and accurately relays client changes on projects to all appropriate team members.
• Manages internal creative meetings ensuring client-approved strategies are understood and well executed.
• Effectively presents, sells and defends all agency work/proposals to clients; supports other client services team members in these functions.
• Keeps apprised of clients’ brands, programs, services and marketing developments.
• Reviews and approves client invoicing and planned future billing projections.
• Checks and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinates client approval of same.
• Coordinates project execution, timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel.
• Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts.
• Keeps apprised of internal projects through production and traffic managers or other relevant personnel.
• Marshals internal resources and provides strategic direction in the creative briefs for individual projects while leading internal team through execution.
• Develops strong working relationship with clients and engages CD in client satisfaction variables that might influence future retention.
• Reach out to new vendors and attend meetings and/or conferences to stay updated with new trends and capabilities to present to clients.

Job Requirements

Skill Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
• Agency experience of 3+ years a must
• Account management within an agency a must
• Ability to present and communicate with clients is essential
• Ability to communicate both written and verbal at a professional level
• Strong ability to take initiative, problem solves and develop solutions
• Superior time-management, high attention to detail & organized
• Ability to think strategically about clients and their needs
• Ability to work under pressure and in a sometimes high-intensity environment
• Multi-tasking ability
• Budget management
• Team player interested in maximizing the performance of all parties in service to clients and each other.
• Ability to write social media content for multiple social media platforms
• Ability to write for multiple brands
• Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube knowledge
• Experience in development and implementation of detailed marketing plans and RFP's
• Ability and experience producing and presenting reports appropriate for client meetings, client board presentations, etc.
