Advertising Agency in Costa Mesa is seeking an experienced Studio Production Artist. Our clients are progressive lifestyle brands and exciting fast-paced companies. Our environment is exciting, fresh and personally/professionally rewarding.
Work Experience:
• At least 3 years production work in print and digital media
• Associates degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience as a Production Artist
• Knowledge of agency/brand development environment and procedures desired
• Print production experience required
• A strong work ethic
MAC OSX Software/Knowledge requirements:
• InDesign
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• Photoshop Image Ready
• Acrobat Professional
• Web, digital and Wordpress skills a plus
Position Responsibilities Include:
• Create clean mechanical files in InDesign and Illustrator with linked color photos and vector graphics from Art Director comps.
• Create of hi-res artwork in Photoshop as necessary for mechanicals, to include compositing, retouching and color adjustment to
• ad specs.
• Pickup, resizing and versioning of 4 color process mechanicals in InDesign and Illustrator from supplied creative base as needed
• for various publications.
• Create PDFs, Multipage PDFs, JPEGs, Animated GIFS as needed.
Daily Work Skills:
• Strong production skills with ability to accept direction from Art Directors, Account Services and clients.
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Attention to details
• Self-directed, solution-oriented and motivated to produce error-free mechanicals
• Excellent organizational skills, both conventional and electronic
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and be precise and error free
Interpersonal Skills:
• Ability to interface with all levels of management successfully
• Knowledge of marketing ideals and design aesthetics
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interpret and express those ideas
• Ability to interface with team members, clients and vendors with a high degree of professionalism
