About the job
A Vacation Specialist excites and informs our guests about Mammoth Resorts and helps to plan and book all their vacation needs.
Inquiries and reservations are primarily made via telephone, as well as email, web chat and online.
Working as a Vacation Specialist will allow you to build or add to your resume while also having a great time hitting the slopes (we offer ride breaks during your shift when meeting business levels), earning a solid wage and working with a fun group of like-minded individuals.
Specialists will answer all inquiries regarding Mammoth Resorts products and services, and provide one-stop shopping for all vacation needs including lodging, and all winter and summer activities.
We offer steady work, a fast-paced environment, desirable schedule, enhanced pay and opportunities for possible advancement. This great entry-level job will provide sales and customer service experience.
A typical week is four, 10-hour days with 3 days off.
There are several hiring and training sessions set for September 17, October 1 and October 22 so apply now to secure your preferred start date.
Bilingual applicants will be eligible for additional compensation.
Requirements
High school graduation or equivalency is required. Previous sales and/or reservation experience and knowledge of the Mammoth Lakes area preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word and other Windows-based programs and familiarity with web-browsing software are helpful. As a prerequisite, candidates must have a strong command of the English language with emphasis on proper grammar and pronunciation, specifically while using the telephone.
An outgoing and energetic personality, with a proven record of making logical decisions, problem solving, resourcefulness, multitasking and expediency are all-important qualities of ideal candidates. The successful candidate will be dependable and will have displayed responsible behavior in previous employment.
