Our mountain is a year-round operation with a thriving retail division. We are actively seeking a Director of Retail to join our company.

The Director of Retail is responsible for the management of Mammoth Mountain’s Retail Division, its financial growth and all retail operations. Responsibilities include multi-store management, new business development, purchasing, merchandising and inventory distribution and control. The Director must possess initiative and drive and have broad relevant retail knowledge and experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 10 years Retail Management experience with multi-store operations, buying, distribution, visual presentation and retail finance.

• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to handle concurrent tasks.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse types of people.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Computer literate and familiarity with network needs, POS Systems and Reporting.

• Able to adapt to a dynamic environment with unexpected changes to priorities.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement multi-year strategic plan targeting annual growth to meet organizations financial projections. (25%)

• Oversight of training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, and scheduling. (2%)

• Develop and implement multiple store designs. (15%)

• Increase organization’s capacity through creation of new retail opportunities. (10%)

• Multi-store management, buying, merchandising, product analysis, staffing and market expansion. (23%)

• Develop and manage annual budgets, service and operations plans. (5%)

• Monitor the financial performance of the organization pertaining to store-related activities (5%)

• Oversee policies and procedures for division operations, inventories, loss prevention, and distribution center. (10%)

• Coordinate the development and expansion of a comprehensive advertising and marketing program for stores. (5%)
