Product Development Manager Job in Irvine, CA

Incipio, LLC, one of the OC’s fastest growing and most dynamic companies is looking for a highly motivated Product Development Manager who is responsible for overseeing operational and product development objectives. This includes, but is not limited to defining the product, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, working closely with procurement, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Developer (PD) delivers product development expertise and leads the supporting processes. The position participates in strategy planning for assigned projects and shares expertise with less experienced developers to sustain their projects. The PD helps manage project definition and subsequent design, development, approval, pilot and production stages as well as participating in the product launch process. The PDM communicates with internal teams and external suppliers to expedite projects in process and looks for ways to improve methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the planning of timelines, scope, and resources to execute product roadmaps
• Procure and source materials in international markets
• Negotiate favorable payment terms and pricing with vendors
• Keeps project tracking documents updated weekly for assigned projects
• Resolves issues which arise during the product development timeline.
• Manages project budgets for molds, prototypes and travel expenses.
• Follow and implement new processes as needed
• Perform quality assurance before products are released to market, conduct audits/review and report QC results to management
• Must be self-sufficient and capable of making decisions with limited guidance of other managers
• Travel to Hong Kong and China as needed
