Position Summary:
Monster Energy’s Partnership Marketing team is responsible for uniting third-party brands with our largest marketing investments to create best-in-class global programs. We integrate key brand platforms - Action Sports, Motorsports, Music & Gaming, bringing programs to life in a way that is both distinctly Monster Energy and tailored to meet our customer, shopper and region needs.
The Marketing Promotions Manager oversees the creation and execution of assigned Monster Energy account-specific promotions in collaboration with Shopper Marketing. Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Promotions Manager, this role is the primary link between numerous internal and external parties ensuring Monster Energy provides best-in-class promotional support while maintaining high brand standards, operational excellence, and legal compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
Collaborate with Shopper Marketing, Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, Music & Lifestyle Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative, Legal, Accounting, outside promotion agencies, and vendors to create and execute the following types of promotions:
Adaptations of national brand promotions
Custom promotions aimed at Monster Energy’s largest and strategic accounts
Channel wide promotions targeting accounts offering the greatest ROI
Accountable for the entire promotion creation process including ideation, artwork development, copy writing, entry mechanics & backend development, rules creation, promotion registry where necessary, legal agreements, selecting and managing vendors, gaining necessary approvals, winner selection and confirmation, prize fulfillment, and providing assets and support for the sell-in process.
Collaborate with Art Directors and Designers to develop impactful in-store and digital marketing collateral; Streamline design process by delivering concise creative briefs and clear direction.
Ideate promotion concepts and provide assets for pitch decks and presentations.
Present and sell-in promotion concepts internally and externally.
Train and coach Shopper Marketing on Monster Energy’s brand standards with promotions. Provide best practices and execution expectations.
Manage assigned account-specific promotion requests to ensure they provide the necessary ROI, are up to brand standards, the lead time is adequate, the relevant parties are included, and the necessary agreements are in place.
Attend regular conference calls and meetings with the Marketing departments and facilitate communication as needed.
Position Requirements:
5 years of combined experience in the areas of Promotions, Project Management and Brand Management (client or agency), ideally in the beverage/packaged goods industry
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
Can effectively coach and manage a cross-functional team
Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills
Collaborative nature with ability to foster relationships, build rapport and find solutions
Decisive and enforces brand standards
Demonstrated ability to manage numerous time sensitive projects simultaneously
Strong sense of urgency, extremely attentive to detail with the ability to anticipate and adapt to change quickly
Advanced-level Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
