Position Summary:

The Marketing Director, designs, develops and executes revenue-generating marketing programs for the Company and distribution partners in assigned territories in the Latin American / Caribbean / South America region. based on approved practices and programs established by the U.S. and applied to local territories.

This role requires an experienced marketer with solid consumer brand management as well as solid executional experience in channel marketing programs, PR, thought leadership, social media and all aspects of marketing that increase sell-through.

The individual will work very closely with the global marketing teams, regional marketing managers, international sales teams and distribution partners, product management and supporting departments to accelerate all Monster brand and business development across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The individual will be directly responsible for developing, coordinating and executing marketing programs, launch activities, event management, sales promotions, partner portal management, communications, budget and business growth abroad and ensure it is aligned with the U.S. model. International travel is required.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure the Monster brand marketing and business development in Latin America / Caribbean / South America is conducted in line with the global and U.S. direction and strategies.
• Oversee planning, creating, implementing and measuring the success of comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations programs that will enhance Monster Energy’s sales, image and position within the marketplace.
a. Drive retail sales, distributor engagement, and consumer awareness.
b. Increase brand relevance, social media metrics, and market presence.
• Responsible for the achievement of marketing goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the SVP and Senior Management Team.
a. Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets and monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
b. Recommend short- and long-term goals and objectives to the SVP.
• Plan and coordinate organizational activities, establishing priorities and timelines to meet designated goals and objectives at both the regional and country level.
a. Lead the local marketing teams and facilitate internal and external communications between key stakeholders to ensure timely execution of new products, relevant marketplace POS and artwork, partner agreements, and other essential materials.
b. Develop, coordinate and oversee programs, technical assistance and resource materials to assist country level teams in the marketing, communications and positioning of their activities.
• Ensure propagation of Monster Energy’s desired image and position, consistent communication of image and position throughout Latin America, and communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
a. Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all artwork, events, and assets, including athletes, bands, events, etc.
b. Coordinate the appearance of all Monster Energy print and electronic materials such as social media, use of logo, retail point-of-sale, etc.
c. Coordinate media interest with PR agency and garner regular contact with target media for Monster events and assets.
d. Provide counsel to country level teams on local marketing, communications and public relations.
• Ensure that region regularly conducts relevant market reviews and monitors local trends.
a. Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing plans at the regional and country level.
b. Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, and use this information to help Monster Energy operate with initiative and innovation.
• Work with senior staff and department staff to develop and maintain a strategic perspective and ensure timely execution of all strategies, programs, and tactics
a. Help ensure Monster Energy’s philosophy, mission and brand vision are executed across Latin America.
b. Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from Monster Energy’s key constituencies regarding the quality of strategies and programs.
• Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of Monster Energy globally.
• Act as an internal voice to generate new ideas and groundbreaking platforms to keep Monster Energy on the forefront of innovation.
• Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates personnel in each market, and recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, and guide qualified personnel to further Monster Energy’s image and goals.
• Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout to achieve company goals and objectives regionally and locally.
• Serve as the first point of contact for assigned international distribution partner questions, including how to navigate the partner portal, where to find resources, report on bugs, etc., and also serve as the point person to articulate business needs for portal enhancements.
• Responsible for representing the distributor’s concerns and requirements at product launch meetings, and for developing the product launch plan for the distributor.
