Position Summary:

The Brand Lifestyle & Apparel Lead is a valuable contributor to the Monster Energy Brand Lifestyle team. This position focuses on the collaborative development of ongoing lifestyle marketing support for the Monster Energy Brand

Essential Job Functions:

Key Responsibilities:
•A leader in the development of innovative apparel & accessories, work to approve and deliver on time and meet quality/performance standards
•Maintain accurate & organized project documentation to track specifications and development history

Communication and Coordination Responsibilities:

•Partner with design team to update and coordinate specification packages in 2D & 3D for precise communication with vendors/overseas development
•Manage sampling process to meet the diverse needs of pro athletes, product teams & marketing groups
•Daily interface with domestic/overseas vendor partners
•Initiate purchase orders and amendments, arrange for submission and inspection of sample products as required, and close coordination with suppliers to assure timely execution of products and services sourcing activities
•Coordinate the planning of recent schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned products and services consistent with the company’s requirements or as arranged
•Manage inventory levels, schedules, and availability of selected items to meet schedules
•Responsible for coordinating all scheduling and production work-in-progress to ensure on-time delivery
•Advises other departments of scheduling plans and production issues

Analysis and Research Responsibilities:
•Work with vendors to develop BOM & product costing worksheets
•Work with product managers on costing strategy & negotiations to meet cost targets
•Responsible for size grade testing & fit trials as appropriate
•Review samples, provide comments and give revision instructions to the factory
•Conduct rider/athlete and outside lab testing as necessary to ensure function and quality
•Perform first article & quality inspections to ensure final product quality prior to reaching the market
•Proactively work with factories & overseas development to anticipate or resolve quality issues
•Research a wide variety of markets to stay informed about current product and market trends
•Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
•Study market prices and trends
•Interview and confer with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics, inventory control and management, and negotiate prices and delivery terms with guidance from VP
•Responsible for analyzing and overseeing garment production at overseas factories to ensure production quality and on-time delivery for apparel and accessories
•Analyzes materials and production steps needed for product designs, prepares detailed cost analyses, and negotiates production costs with overseas factory managers to ensure profitability
•Analyzes fit approval samples, lab dips and garment test results and advises factories on methods to improve production to meet quality requirements

Travel Responsibilities:
•Domestic and international travel to Asia/Europe (2-4 trips/year) & domestic (1-3 trips/year)
•Travel to tradeshows, industry events, and partner with vendors to track market trends and innovative materials and constructions

Additional Responsibilities:
•Other duties and projects as assigned by the Vice President
