Technical Services Technician Job in Corona, CA

Position Summary:This position will support the Technical Services Department with an emphasis on processing new and revised can artwork. This individual is part of the Operations Department and reports to the Manager, Technical Services. The position will work closely with various departments within the Operations Department as well as New Product Development, Graphics, Quality, Project and Brand Managers within the company. Technical Services Technician position will have direct communications with our packaging suppliers (vendors) including their Sales, Customer Service and manufacturing facilities.Essential Job Functions: • Evaluate all graphic PDF (pre-press and can/label suppliers) to ensure accuracy against MEC standard. • Communicate ink/coating and graphics information to the all pre-press, plate making and can suppliers. • Maintain and update can pre-press tracking report on a daily basis. • Maintain graphics standard library for all domestic and international cans / labels. • Assist in creating Graphic Quality Report presentations for all can/label suppliers. • Assist in operating the SpecMetrix coating analyzer.Position Requirements: • College degree or comparable work experience in graphics arts. • Excellent written, verbal, organizational and multi-tasking skills. • Capable of working in a fast paced environment. • The ability to differentiate between colors is essential. • Proficient in Excel and Power Point software. • Detailed oriented.
