LIRA, a rapidly growing lifestyle brand, looking for a Women’s Product Developer / Assistant Designer to join our growing family!

Lira Women’s makes innovative product that redefines the rebellious lifestyle of women’s fashion. Lira Women’s was founded to create high quality made product that is both technically functional, affordable and uniquely stylish for her everyday fashion. Our goal is for women to feel confident, free and feel like their natural elegance, beauty and personality is reflected in what they are wearing.

The ideal candidate would have technical expertise to advance Lira women’s product innovation, as well as a passion for women’s fashion and apparel manufacturing in general. The primary responsibility of the Product Developer is to manage the development process of product from design to final prototype, working directly with our designer and production manager.

As we are a growing company, this forward-thinking position requires a unique mix of both traditional product development skills and design creativity. The ideal candidate would be well versed in both digital and paper patternmaking, possess intimate knowledge of apparel and swimwear construction, and have the ability to suggest and implement improvements in both design and production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with Designer to create new design concepts/ideas for each season.
• Manage the development process of company product lines as assigned.
• Create and manage the Seasonal Sample Calendar to ensure development is on time
with production deadlines.
• Build, manage, and maintain the sample line, as per sales department needs
• Create and maintain tech packs: updating CADs
• Organize, create, and maintain standard block, specs, and other reference materials as
needed.
• Communicate with factories to resolve issues with fit, construction, and TOP quality.
• Submit lab dips and determine lead-times with fabric mills.
• Measure, document and tag incoming development samples.
• Collaborate with production manager for trim, send-out, and any related items.
• Organize, document, and maintain inventory status of trims and fabrics.
• Assist with fittings and photoshoots.
• Organize sample room and trim library.
• Travel to local vendors.
