WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In this role we are looking for an high performing Quality Engineering Manager to play a critical role in driving the Quality Engineering capabilities for Nike’s Planning and Manufacturing Products. You will be instrumental in creating a team with a strong focus on instilling trust, effective collaboration, high performance culture and mindset to exceed business expectations and outcomes. Ability to navigate in a complex matrixed organization and lead the team towards successful delivery and individual career growth.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
* Embrace and Implement Organizations software development lifecycle, software testing methodologies, debugging tools, and quality test tools
* Champion implementation of software quality engineering guidelines, best practices, road map and strategy for software products in Planning & Manufacturing technology.
* Participate in PI planning, sprint planning and retrospective ceremonies and backlog grooming activities.
* Partner with Product Engineering and Architecture team in defining the quality specific requirements, deliverables and outcomes
* Ensure delivery of high quality product features through effective reviews, stage gates for quality assurance.
* Responsible for driving excellence in Preparing, Managing, and driving manual, automation, functional, and integration testing effort.
* Disseminate technical knowledge to the team members on emerging ideas through multiple forums (e.g., user groups, tech talks, design reviews, internal blogs).
* Owns the resource plans for the area (right talent and team composition)
* Mentor and develop other engineers. Develops competencies and skills of team members.
* Prepares and delivers performance reviews and conducts performance management coaching

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Collaborate with Technical Product Managers to understand product roadmap and requirements to define scope and effort estimates.
*
Engage with Scrum master to define and align with product roadmap, schedule and timelines
*
Work with Engineers on the team to provide full context and understanding of customers and business requirements to deliver defect free products.
*
Partner with Architects and Lead engineers to ensure smooth decisions and implementation
*
Engage with Engineering and Product directors to discuss delivery outcomes, guidance and escalation management
*
Work with external vendors and partners to build cost effective and best in class quality outcomes
*
Develop highly effective working relationships with product owners, developers, analysts, operations and other team members in support of the software process to ensure that releases are tested and ready for a production environment
*
Collaborate with Nike Global Technology Quality COE to adopt and innovate new practices and automations
