WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to be a part of a diverse team of footwear manufacturing engineers, manufacturing partners’ automation engineers, and engineering subject matter experts that are responsible for delivering technologies to make our processes as efficient and sustainable as possible. To be successful, our Senior Automation Engineer must possess the following strengths:
* Forward and Creative Thinking: See the big picture as it relates to a manufacturing system, think beyond tactical details, apply knowledge of automation technologies and solutions to effectively work with external partners to identify opportunities and improve, adopt and standardize new methods of footwear manufacturing
* Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of mechanical design, machine safety standards, machine and robot controls, vision systems, and Artificial Intelligent applications
* Open and Proactive: Seek a diversity of inputs and potential solutions, consistently challenge the status quo, and think beyond traditional solutions and approaches
* Communication and Project Management: Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to manage multiple projects, ensure that all project information, deliverables, and artifacts are appropriately documented and stored, monitor the progress of projects, and make adjustments as necessary to achieve the successful completion.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll work together with internal and external stakeholders to elevate Manufacturing Excellence through new methods of make, build and evolve factory manufacturing capabilities, and drive operational excellence, leading strategic automation and modernization solutions at the factory level. You’ll support product excellence through robust factory quality management and drive sustainable growth through improved productivity by scaling global automation and modernization projects.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be a part of a team consisting of engineers with various experiences in a multitude of disciplines. Key partners are the Manufacturing Partners Automation Engineering teams, Nike Manufacturing & Engineering teams, WHQ MFG Process Engineering teams & Stakeholders. You will work with additional Nike functions such as NXT, Innovation Transition, Consumer Creation, Sourcing, Responsible Supply Chain, and Cost Engineering. You will work at the country level across all partners located within the country and will strive to ensure connectivity with the local PMO leadership team.
