Senior Legal Manager, Greater China Job in Shanghai, Shanghai, China Mainland, VT

As a Senior Legal Manager in Greater China, you’ll support the company's goals and objectives by providing well-informed, timely, effective and practical legal advice & counseling for the Nike Group subsidiaries in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Such advice and counseling involve identification of legal issues, analysis of legal risks as well as creation & implementation of solutions structured to achieve business objectives efficiently with reasonable legal and practical risk. You will work in close integration with Nike GC legal team members. In addition, you will manage outside legal counsel providing specialized services to the company to ensure appropriate and cost-effective representation.

You will directly report to Assistant General Counsel of Nike Greater China, and work in a broader Legal team consisting of over forty professionals in Greater China.

Core Responsibilities:
* Support GC Operations and Logistics team (GOaL) on new projects and daily matters, including but not limited to:

* drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, such as general contractor construction project agreement, innovative project agreement, 3PL contract, cross-border/domestic transportation agreement, master service agreement, mater goods purchase agreement, etc.
* legal counseling on projects and any other business matters owned by GOaL

* Deal with legal issues relating customs matters and provide legal advices on government inquiries and audits relating customs matters (if any); and
* Handle other legal work assigned to you by your line manager on an ad hoc basis.
