WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The candidate will assist in expanding the scale of an integration platform made for Nike’s manufacturing partners, enabling new business cases for data integration, thus facilitating insights & analytics.
As a Lead Software Engineer on this effort, your role will include skilled programming and delivery work that directly interfaces and builds on an existing cloud infrastructure/platform. You will be working with a talented group of folks remotely and within region via scrum methodology and will be responsible for digesting requirements (functional and non-functional) that will help scale the existing core platform technology for new user cases. You are encouraged to participate in sharing of ideas with evidence towards more efficient and constructive product design and development process. Great teamwork and commitment to delivery excellence are critical to the success of our product growth.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving and collaborating with a highly diverse and innovative team to deliver aspects of a cloud-centric application architecture in cloud platform using MS Azure. You will be hands-on at programming, utilizing modern open-source technologies, including cloud and pipeline orchestration technologies, automated testing technologies, and modern interpreted languages/frameworks.
You will be helping to grow an integration product that is designed for future scale in structured, REST API data transport via serverless technologies in the cloud. You are encouraged to voice out your ideas based on evidence and bring other stakeholders along with you to work on and deliver those ideas.
The product solutions that you have delivered will immediately unlock opportunities for Nike’s Partners sustainably and at scale, as well as Nike's insight capabilities downstream.
You will be responsible in developing application and infrastructure as code with high quality (that you help write tests for) into a delivery pipeline (that you help maintain) to ensure secure, reliable, performant operations of domain-driven REST APIs in the Azure cloud. You will also be seen as a subject matter expert in application code development, helping guide others to maintain programming best practices through paired programming exercises.

You will be working with Scrum Team, comprising of Application Engineers, Scrum Masters, Systems Architects, Systems Testers, Technology Product Management and Business Product Management Teams. You will be supporting a large, diverse team of Nike people with a variety of management styles & business stakeholders, as well as outside manufacturing technology partners.
