WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Communications & Influencer Marketing Manager for Nike SOCO.

The Communications function shapes Nike’s story to inform, inspire and connect our internal and external communities. We do this by cultivating authentic relationships, while telling engaging and impactful stories to help our employees and the world connect with Nike’s brand, purpose and products. The role’s mission is to design and execute a variety of campaign, corporate and internal communications plan according to the different interest groups or established target audiences (internal and external).

This role will support the creation and drive compelling and strategic stories and campaigns that map to key business drivers for the Nike SOCO business.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Develop and drive the Nike story in media through integrated communications programs, initiatives and key events.
• Be a key driver and participant in the development of stories to successfully enhance and promote Nike’s brand, reputation and guiding principles, as well as mission, vision and positioning. You will explore new strategies and tactics, particularly digitally focused, to drive compelling storytelling in new ways in Argentina & Chile.
• Be a catalyst for creative storytelling and localization.
• Create, develop, and apply communication plans that strengthen and raise the positioning of the brand with a focus on the local market.
• Obsessing product narratives and Seeding strategies to ensure culturally relevant, transformational, consumer-centric approach in all marketing efforts.
• Embracing a multi-tasking and information seeking demeanor with a passion for sharing knowledge across the business with an open, positive and empathic approach.
• Develop communication strategies that allow the brand to continue leading the market, both through its products and services.
• Maintain relations of exchange and cooperation with those responsible for mass media, national and international, as well as with opinion leaders and influencers.
• Coordinate actions regarding internal communication with the various areas of the company that require it.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

• You will sit in the Communications & Catalyst Brand Management function, reporting directly to the SOCO Marketing Director.
• You will also lead the Catalyst (influencers) teams in Southern Cone & Regional with a growth mindset to contribute towards the world class influencer team.
• You will work closely with our APLA Communications team on global strategy, corporate narrative, and issues management.
• Work cross functionally with all the Brand Marketing but also with other key partners in the organization (GM, Sales, Supply, Ops and HR)
• The shape of your day-to-day work will vary significantly, and therefore your style and influence will have to adapt accordingly. You are consistently collaborative and open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with and adopt a multi-tasking approach.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

• 7+ years professional experience in corporate communications or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations.
• Message development and excellent writing skills are a requirement.
• Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures.
• Experience initiating and driving the ideation process and contributing meaningful, innovative strategies to the business at concept stage.
• On the ground media/PR experience to influence and guide our work.
• Strong written and spoken English required.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, PR, English, communications, business, or related field required, or relevant combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge in Genz cultural and sports landscape. Influencer management & relationship building.
