WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a position as Marketplace Insights Analyst for Japan.

This position analyzes the business from a One Marketplace perspective leveraging point of sales (POS) data, and reports to stakeholders on Weekly/Monthly/Seasonal base to optimizing in-season business. This position also leverages Future Booking and order information to analyze and report on Pre-Season to help stakeholders' make decisions to maximize the future business. This role will work with the Technology Team to manage the data to achieve these goals.

This position requires organized and motivated person with the experience and ability to analyze the retail business, clarify insights in an actionable way, and manage data. This position needs to be familiar with Direct to Consumer (DTC) and wholesale business trends and has a business sense. You also need a strong partnership with the Technology team, so you need to understand queries and tools for data management and have good communication skills. Understanding Nike consumers in Tokyo and having a love for sports is a plus.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You leverage POS data (sales, inventory) to support maximize retail sales and optimize market inventory for Nike products. You analyze sales and inventory from various angles and report to key stakeholders. You will also work with Technology team to build a database to meet the business needs of our stakeholders and connect data to real business. Specifically, you use tools such as DOMO and Tableau to build databases, manage data flows, create dashboard and reports (visualize), and analyze using them to support Nike business growth.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

This role will report into the Japan Commercial Analytics Manager, and will work with many groups in the Nike family including Japan Demand & Supply Management (DSM) team, Merchandising team, and partner with the Marketplace Units (MPUs), and Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Commercial Analytic groups. In summary, the person in this role will be a key contributor to the success of the business and the driver of data and insights for retail sales growth in Japan.
