WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a capable inventory accountant responsible for ensuring Inventory and Supply Chain controlling (‘ISCC’) and accounting process in accordance with Global Accounting policies, US GAAP and local statutory requirements including Korea GAAP.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:
In this role, you will design and drive timely and accurate insights into Nike Korea’s inventory by optimizing accounting processes, collaborating cross-functional teams. You will execute month-end accounting close procedures in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring appropriate financial controls, procedures and efficiencies are in place. You will also perform financial reporting and control processes mostly related to inventory and cost of goods sold, including complex journal entries and account reconciliations for higher-risk areas and related control activities. You will take in charge of standard costing and periodic unit price costing of materials in SAP and development of more efficient and accurate costing processes as well. You will manage Nike Korea inventory at multiple locations, including owned stores and multiple distribution centers which are equipped with digital fulfilment and omnichannel capabilities in accordance with Nike policies and procedures. Furthermore, you will be engaged in internal, external audit and Sarbanes Oxley compliance work and support business stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance Planning, DSM (Demand Supply Management), Retail operation associated with the projects. You will maintain financial statement and key processes with integrity and in-depth understanding of supply chain operational processes, flow of transactional data in systems, and internal controls and recommend necessary improvements as a subject matter expert.

You’ll closely work with various Value Stream teams in Controlling, Finance Planning, Logistics, Inbound, Retail and Inventory Operation, and will also collaborate with Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Inventory and Supply Chain Controlling team. You will report directly to Korea Inventory Supply Chain Controlling manager.
