Nike is looking for a Brand Protection (BP) Manager to manage the brand protection operations in Mainland China. The role is based in Nike China’s PMO office located in Guangzhou city and reports to the GC Brand Protection Director.
You will act as the project manager for evaluating and implementing Nike BP strategy, providing training, guidance and supports to investigators, outside counsel and Law Enforcement Agencies to protect the Nike Brands from those who infringe our intellectual property rights by conducting administrative enforcement action, criminal investigation, and filing civil litigation. Your primary responsible territory will be Eastern and Southern China.
Across Nike Inc., you will identify opportunities to better integrate Brand Protection into other NIKE functions, including broader IP teams, security teams, market team, GPA team and supply chain groups. With exposure to data and intelligence support, business trends analysis, field experiences, IP law and more, the skillsets acquired are vast and prove essential in the ever-changing business landscape. You will be the key person of driving GC BP enforcement strategy.
Your accountabilities to communicating BP work to Nike internal stakeholders include:
• Creating weekly and quarterly reports on significant Brand Protection actions to the BP Director.
• Exploring and recommending new metrics for measuring impact of BP work, and new ways to present results to the Distributors/Licensees and biz team
• Skillfully utilizing NIKE’s and service provider’s database to generate special reports for brand protection intelligence analysis and be capable of using certain IT tools to achieve such goals.
• Supporting the broader IP/BP team, security team, grey market management team on ad hoc requests of cross-function digital investigation, enforcement, and litigation matters.
