DescriptionAs our Global Controlling Operations Digital Strategy Director, you will :Provide visible leadership and delivers effective and timely communications and feedback to the team and management. Acts as a champion for the shared delivery vision, mission, and strategy across the enterprise.
Manage and lead a team to drive the department’s strategy activation forward. This includes providing global support to ensure process improvement and technology implementations that benefit the GCO are planned, administered, and deployed within timelines and budget
Manages global projects and initiatives throughout the year; implements and manages global process governance to provide standardization and meet efficiency targets.
Develops global solutions to current operational challenges; acts as a key senior leadership influencer to implement these global solutions. 
Utilizes advanced knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a risk-optimized environment. Ensures such policies, procedures, and controls are in place and working effectively. Identifies how changes to processes create/change risks to financial reporting.
Digital Strategy: Supports the end-to-end technology lifecycle for the Global Controlling Operations (GCO) shared services function, from ideation and design to implementation and administration. 
Accountable for the overall digital strategy for GCO. This is inclusive of: 
Alignment to Nike’s overall priorities and objectives along with GCO’s goals;
Coordinating and influencing operations management to identify needs and expectations for technological solutions; 
Supporting other members of the GCO Strategy Activation team responsible for process ownership and future state roadmaps for processes; 
Communication and socialization of overall strategy with senior leadership, with close partnership with the Nike Technology organization; 
Development of a roadmap for implementation of solutions. 
Develops and manages GCO’s Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Center of Excellence (COE). Supports the further development and roll out of Nike’s automation capabilities. Leads completion of key foundational processes, policies, and operating models within the automation space. Spearheads the relationship between Nike Tech, the RPA COE, and external services providers supporting RPA. 
Leads the prioritization efforts of RPA opportunities in line with GCO’s objectives and goals. Adheres to (and enhances) the COE’s prioritization methodology and changes to that methodology. 
Develops relationships globally and cross-functionally to identify automation opportunities. Utilizes advanced communication and stakeholder management skills to support a global automation rollout and support model. 
Tool Administration: Manages a shared services team that supports tools relevant to the Record to Report (R2R) and Procure to Pay (P2P) Controlling value streams. Responsible for: 
Managing employees and setting individual goals that link to department priorities.
Coaches staff, supports development, makes hiring decisions, and drives performance management, recognition, and rewards. 
Accountable for the administration of our tool offerings through the Tool Administration team in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with our internal stakeholders, inclusive of: 
Escalation of day-to-day production support issues; 
Coordination of new releases to the tools set under management, inclusive of transition management, training, testing, and ultimate implementation/stabilization at go-live;
The effective execution of financial statement controls (Sarbanes Oxley, SOX) as required by the tool and process; 
Supports changes to business needs for the tools and the customization of said tools to meet those needs; 
Acts as a liaison to the vendors supporting our tools, inclusive of remaining current on functionality and future release schedules. Escalates issues with the technology to the appropriate vendor to support timely resolution. 
Job Specific:Manages a shared services team responsible for the completion of certain governmental reporting requirements, specifically related to the U.S. Census and Bureau of Economic Analysis. 
QualificationsPreferred - 10+ years relevant experience - which includes 3-5 years within accounting/controlling, 3-5 years in shared services operations/deployments, 3-5 years of robotics/technology management, and 8+ years with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company. 
SAP experience. 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with leadership team.
Ability to influence senior management to make decisions that further the objectives of the department in line with Nike’s priorities. 
Strong technology background, specifically in relation to implementation lifecycles and production support. 
Robotics Process Automation (RPA) experience (strategy, deployment, and maintenance).
MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
Customer service and cross-functional interpersonal skills.
Deep operational process subject matter and expertise. 
Consistent attention to detail.
Process optimization background (LEAN, Six Sigma) preferred
