DescriptionThe Nike Direct Sr. Finance Analyst will support in managing the overall financial performance for Nike Direct (Nike Direct Admin, Nike Stores, and Nike.com). In partnership with the Finance Manager and business partners, this person will be responsible for regular SG&A month-end activities (journal entries, landing estimates, variance analysis, etc), preparing and loading cost center forecasts, and preparation of monthly reporting packages.They will:
Own the monthly close process by posting journal entries, chargebacks, and accruals
Support business partners in understanding their cost base and performance against budget/forecast, proactively keeping management informed of results, and suggesting course corrections when necessary
Support management of risks and opportunities across portfolio to ensure delivery of performance management targets in current fiscal year
Support our annual planning cycles by modeling and forecasting SG&A costs through tight alignment with business partners and a keen eye on cost drivers
Support all business partners in delivery of global finance initiatives, building a best practice approach to SG&A cost reporting and analysis
Support various adhoc requests
Performance measures:Timely and accurate monthly functional cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
Delivery of insightful analysis to support management of costs within budget/forecast
Strong relationships built with business partners - seen as an enabler
Have worked effectively with functions to ensure services are delivered within budget
QualificationsBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, etc.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, expert Excel user preferred
Experience with SAP (COPA, BW, ECCS) or other BI tools is preferred
Advance skills on MS Office applications, including MS Access, and especially Excel (V-Look-Ups, Pivots, etc)
Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
Comfortable when challenged with difficult, unstructured problems that must be solved quickly
