Do you have what it takes to build a Controlling legacy at NIKE?As the Senior Accountant, Royalties and Athlete Compensation, you will be responsible for executing various accounting functions and improving global accounting processes and controls to drive and deliver shareholder value. You’ll also be a key representative for various initiatives and changes to transaction streams impacting accounting processes & controls, systems projects, audit support, and reporting compliance.Key responsibilities include: Execute accounting processes and maintain effective internal controls around the tracking and accounting for third party royalties and athlete compensation related spend, including technical accounting considerations related to complex endorsement and licensing contracts, in accordance with US GAAP and NIKE Accounting Policy
Identify financial statement risks and independently research through engagement with key business partners to develop proposed solutions
Assist in period close activities including system postings & analytic reviews 
Support internal and external royalty audits and recommend best practices
Document accounting policy impacts and internal control framework changes
Assist in system testing and process documentation
Perform data analytics to understand and evaluate business processes and engage in process improvement initiatives
Develop deep understanding of end-to-end royalty reporting requirements and related business inputs and systems
Drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and financial reporting with our unique suite of tools
Clearly and concisely communicate judgmental accounting conclusions, shifts in business strategy and recommended system/process improvements to NIKE Controlling leadership
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
3-5 years minimum of experience in accounting or related functions
Big 4 public accounting experience preferred by not required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Experience with SAP is strongly preferred
Experience with accounting for licensing & royalties is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership and cross functionally with key business partners
Strong project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
Strong ability to seek information and problem solve
Standout "can do" attitude and enthusiasm to drive and innovate processes 
Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand
Ability to pass a 7 year background check
