DescriptionIf you’re ready to innovate and lead in the Solution Architecture space, join Nike’s Enterprise Architecture organization! You will be part of an organization that is revolutionizing Nike technology platforms and architecting a technology landscape that is simplified, modern, flexible and will ultimately enable Nike on its journey to 2020 and beyond. The Enterprise Architecture team will partner and engage with business and technology leaders across all the business functions within the enterprise in planning, creating, maintaining and executing a capability roadmap aligned to the overall company and functional strategies to ensure that the people, process, data insights/information, and technology needs are accurately captured and planned for short, medium and long-term execution.As Principal Solution Architect for HR and the Chief Administration Office (CAO), you will be part of a highly visible team focused on enabling Nike’s end-to-end Digital Capability. The Technical strategy and architecture you help define will have a direct impact on Nike’s End-to-End Digitization strategy. You will engage, collaborate and partner with Nike’s HR, Legal, and other community leaders and stakeholders across Business and Technology to understand long and short-term business strategies, provide thought leadership, and engage in proactive planning of an executable Design. You will also be responsible for helping establish the practice of Enterprise Architecture within Nike and will bring broad experiences in driving quality & consistency across business architecture methodology and deliverables enterprise wide.Principal Solution Architect, Fulfillment Responsibilities:Work closely with other experts to create an End-to-End Digitization strategy and architecture supporting HR and CAO operations at scale
Work closely with experts in our existing HR, CAO, and other partners to drive Nike’s Digitization within their end-to-end lifecycles 
Assess and optimize the architecture of Nike’s end-to-end HR and CAO technology landscape and application portfolio
Lead solution optioning and recommendations around complex solutions 
Drives and facilitates the right discussions that identify solutions in relation to current and future technology landscape
Lead, build, manage, and enhance solution architectures to drive enablement of the longer term roadmap
Influence business and technology partners as necessary 
Develops solution architecture approaches aligned with HR and CAO domain roadmaps, reference architectures and enterprise platforms
Creates and maintains solution and technology inventories
Presents recommendations and solutions clearly and concisely and is able to focus on key points to portray the intended message or purpose
Advocate and drive adoption of “best practices” to ensure standardization of solution architecture outputs across the enterprise
Alignment with corporate strategies through strong business and technical thought leadership
Effectively manage priorities, deliverables and timelines with little need for escalation
QualificationsCurrent knowledge of industry best practices for digitizing end-to-end HR and other backoffice management.
7+ years of experience in performing the responsibilities of solution architecture and technology roadmap creation
3+ years as a lead architect
10+ years combined hands-on engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions
Deep understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and best practices for software design
Experience incorporating applications and platforms into a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Design and implementation experience with cloud platform providers such as Amazon Web Services AWS and/or other cloud providers
Knowledge of key components of end-to-end HR and backoffice business processes
Demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills - ability to work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment
Large enterprise experience with solution design delivery
Ability to articulate and document architectural decisions and roadmaps at a senior executive level
Excellent technical understanding and experience with Cloud technologies commonly used in cloud based systems (Java, REST, JavaScript, Python, JSON, etc.)
Strong facilitation skills and experience in managing senior stakeholder relationship, partnership and interactions
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements and architecture conversations with all stakeholders (management, business users, and technology resources)
Self-starter with high motivation and passion who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change
Strong leadership, confidence, and influencing skills. High level of executive presence
