We're committed to making every consumer's experience a rewarding one, and as a member of our digital retail team, your contributions will be a big part of our success.OVERVIEWAs a Report Developer, you'll partner with our Engineering, BI and Product and Data Science teams to create data architecture and reporting for the Global Direct to Consumer Business. You’ll help drive strategy to build a sustainable reporting architecture in a big data environment. You will work cross-functionally with a variety of Nike teams to iteratively deliver creative solutions to challenging data problems. You will lead development of the approach or solution used to solve real world reporting or analytics challenges.This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with exceptional technical and analytical skills, high detail-orientation and excellent written and verbal communication. This individual will be highly versed in visualization and dash boarding best practices. They will be able to translate complex user requirements into front-end tools that are simple, scalable and answer business questions. They will investigate multiple avenues to answer business questions with data and exhibit the ability to provide multiple options for execution, weighing benefits and tradeoffs. This person will develop wire frames and mock-ups of products they intend to produce and show ideas internally for alignment.Responsibilities:Design and develop front end products leveraging Tableau, Excel and other visualization platforms
Create executive level views of Nike Direct business performance that answer key business questions
Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to iterate on the design and implementation of data visualization products
Act as change agent and evangelist to influence the adoption of data visualization best practices within internal & external business analytics teams
Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to understand key metrics and drivers and provide visibility, specifically highlighting trends and gaps to plan
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area
3-5 years of professional experience in IT, Retail Marketplace or related industries
Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate, collaborate and translate business requirements into effective and consumable reporting solutions
2+ years of UI and UX experience with experience building web and/or mobile interfaces for displaying interactive visual insights
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams
Advanced knowledge of Tableau
Expert SQL skills
Advanced Excel skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Advanced knowledge of Hadoop, AWS and other cloud-based environments a plus
Experience in Agile Software Development practices a plus
HTML & Web-based Application Development tools a plus
