DescriptionAs the Sr. Director of Global Maintenance and Facilities you’ll be responsible for all Air Manufacturing Innovation (Air MI) facilities and internal assets. You will lead Nike’s manufacturing facilities & maintenance function using a broad understanding of manufacturing, people development, costing, and technical innovation knowledge to set the vision and drive optimal financial and operational performance through a team spanning four buildings in three locations. Key accountabilities include: Subject matter expert for the business, guiding strategic decisions on design, build, and overall spend on all Air MI facilities & maintenance. Successfully direct multiple complex projects simultaneously, including prioritizing, resourcing, and allocating all projects. Source, approve, and lead internally and externally to solve for problems related to facilities in a manner that is in support of Nike and the overall production and safety of the employee population Long term strategic planning to ensure new materials, processes, and methods are considered and, when appropriate, are used in the construction and upkeep of the facilities to enhance performance, sustainability, safety, and the employee experience at Nike Air. Mentor the team within the organization and guide team member career development. Engage and influence senior leadership within Nike to represent Nike Air MI and externally to represent Nike in discussions and negotiations with vendors/partners aligned with the strategy and deliver results through the team.
QualificationsRequirements and Capabilities include: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10 years directly relevant experience; experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert. An additional 2 years’ experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. A strong understanding of WD&C, Legal, Procurement and other internal functions as well as the capability to engage and influence senior leadership in these functions. Knowledge of the complexities of installing & moving large industrial scale machinery, including power requirements, venting and local codes. Learning agility, especially in areas like construction in an unfamiliar environment or non-US country. Working knowledge of mechanics in order to converse at a strategic level with maintenance teams. High tolerance for ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment. Experienced, motivating leader with proven results in hiring, training, retaining, and leading a strong team with diverse expertise to optimize Nike’s investment and safeguard the employees and the assets.
