DescriptionThe Global Director of ITAM Data and Tools will support Nike’s Global IT Asset Management program, responsible for the overall architecture, configuration and integration of discovery and software asset management applications, affording the ability to optimize organizational spend and reduce compliance risk. The position will be the technical subject matter expert for the IT Asset Management data and the program and will help streamline processes to reduce inefficiencies.This role will maintain hardware/software inventory and metering (physical/virtual) throughout Nike’s data center and cloud footprint and own ITAM data quality for the CMDB. This role will interface with various technology and business partners on CMDB configuration items and will be responsible for documenting and maintaining operational procedures.Responsibilities:Perform discovery of hardware and software assets on all network connected devices
Maintain and improve data quality of recorded assets in CMDB
Ensure that assets under the control of the IT organization are identified, controlled and properly cared for throughout their lifecycle.
Maintain accurate configuration information on the historical, planned and current state of services and other CIs
Assists in the development of asset standards involving the identification, classification, and control of assets
Engage with Asset Managers and software vendors to help collect, organize, and manage software licensing rules
Create system workflows in the asset management platform
Provide system support to Asset Managers
Understand all aspects of the ITAM lifecycle
Develop ad-hoc reports as needed
QualificationsCollege degree in technology field (Information Systems, Computer Science, etc.)
5+ years experience working with a variety of discovery and software asset management tools
Deep understanding of relational database management systems, stored procedures, and queries
Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks
Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Event, and Configuration Management, and correlated functionality in ServiceNow.
Deep understanding of virtualization and cloud environments
Experience with CMDB and Application Mapping (also known as Service Modeling)
Strong communication, process, consulting, and prioritization skills
Work effectively with technology stakeholders
Strong analytical skills
