DescriptionAs Business Director, Global Digital Commerce Operations & New Business, you’ll join a growing team to identify, drive and “operationalize” innovations in the end-to-end consumer journey for Nike’s digital business. Digital commerce is a critical pillar in Nike’s “Triple Double” strategy, and a key growth driver within our Consumer Direct Offense. In this role, you will define our strategic vision, drive prioritization of opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams to implement and evolve new digital commerce capabilities. We are looking for leaders that think like a consumer, possess enthusiasm for the future, demonstrate a bias toward action and are outcome oriented.
Create and drive digital commerce experiences and capabilities in our end-to-end consumer journey, from long-range strategy through implementation;
Understand unique marketplace needs across different geographies to inform prioritization of capabilities;
Lead the creation of business case and evaluation frameworks to help quantify and contextualize opportunities within the larger Nike strategic plans.
Drive programs from vision definition through implementation by leading and coordinating cross-functional partners/teams, including Digital Product, Supply Chain, and Finance.
Ensure deployment/adoption of global strategies and capabilities within our geography businesses;
Quarterback go-to-market plans in conjunction with a virtual team to align across key Nike Direct touch points, including product launch plans, brand campaigns, performance marketing, planning etc.
Lead team’s engagement in corporate processes including three-year strategic planning, fiscal year operating plans, and performance management through quarterly/monthly cadence.
QualificationsRequirements for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent (MBA preferred);
Minimum 8 years of directly relevant experience in the following functions: digital commerce, merchandising, brand marketing, strategy, digital products & experiences, and/or general management;
Experience with digital or physical retail, and/or digital products is preferred;
Proven competency with consumer orientation and marketplace management;
Strong ability to entrepreneurially develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers to drive results, preferably in a matrixed environment;
Led cross-functional teams to define and execute against a common goal;
Demonstrated growth mindset, learning agility and drive/aspiration;
Proven ability to set and execute groundbreaking strategies endorsed by senior leadership teams; and
Demonstrated ability to synthesize trends and take action against opportunities to drive business results.
